Big, big day today.
Big, big day today.
I'm glad I jumped off the ship as soon as I could see us heading towards the tip of the iceberg. There's still time folks, still a few lifeboats left. Save yourselves before the panic sets in.

It's amazing how little news there is for a deal so many are still pinning their hopes on.

I don't think there is anyone actually left on the ship. Those who are claiming to be on the ship, are really floating around in the water holding on to any flotsam that they can get their hands on. They like to cry out 'big sancho day', 'happy sancho day' etc. to get the attention of people who are leaving in the lifeboats.I'm glad I jumped off the ship as soon as I could see us heading towards the tip of the iceberg. Not all businesses are the same though so if I were you, I would have qualified your statement to say " In the company I work for this does not apply"Working in a large business I can safely say this is not true. It is your job to identify savings and efficiencies, you are already being paid to do that.
Maybe not, but it's very likely to be the straw that broke the camel's back.
If the ship sink, we all sink together.I don't think there is anyone actually left on the ship. Well the other side of it as that we're now seen by some as the object of fun. That's a pretty sad decline.Made a comment on reddit a couple weeks ago along the lines of 'I doubt Dortmund no to €120m regardless of their deadline' and this obsessed Dortmund fan has been replying every other day like 'Where's sancho?/Happy Sancho day'.
Small-time bunch aren't they?

This deal was dead a few weeks ago. Focus on a LB, CB and less costly RW like Sarr. The dippers have shown you can buy real class and quality without completely breaking the bank. Going to the wire with this deal and ultimately being told to feck off by Dortmund will cost us elsewhere.
They don't just cut you a cheque for saving money if it's your job to save the business money when every penny mattersWhat's not true ? Saving money for the owners ? Every penny matters.
That's a fair point, and mine is very similar, but it's not like I get a kickback of x% on savings aor result improvements I contribute towards. Not all businesses are the same though so if I were you, I would have qualified your statement to say " In the company I work for this does not apply"
I can categorically confirm that in the company I work for, my annual bonus is linked to my performance towards cash management and EBITDA.
Again I don't want to dwell on this accounting aspect because the main issue is that Sancho transfer will happen.

I am up for that if the LB is Telles and the CB was Upamecano
Where is everyone getting Sarr from? I can't even find a thread on him in the transfer forum. There's been even less noise with him than with Sancho.
At this point I'd rather we do this than blow our nut on one player that won't fix our defense.Get Sarr and Upa and be done with it. He ain’t coming.

Anything to keep this thread going. Not protesting their decision..... yet
Yeah I’m sitting in a warm bar with a cold beer in Halifax waiting on the bodies rolling in.
Tragic.
Slow mo of Utd against a German side. Clive Tyldsley’s voice fades up. “Will Manchester United fold? They always fold.”
I used to believe that we only got Fellaini in Moyes' first window and noone else because it was his hesitance to sign off on anyone but it just confirms more and more that Ed can only work on one deal at a time and he's fecking rubbish at doing that too doesn't it?
Feels like vdB was done by someone else on the quiet, someone who's actually competent.
