Just did the same thing!
That’s going to be some work out.

I’m hoping this is like the movies where all hope seems lost and then out of nowhere, Woody and Sancho come walking over the horizon. I still see some hope but it’s only a glimmer.

The workout was quite tame lads, I’ve been working on a roof today and haven't had much left in the tank since about 2pm :wenger: I tried.

And talking of the devil .. just watched him smash in a pen for Dortmund.

His celebration is what I’d describe as quite muted. Not much enthusiasm in the jump and fist pump.

Glimmer of hope?

Good of him to score in his last game for Dortmund. Leave with happy memories.

The Kehl quote does have a little extra.

Sebastian #Kehl in the #ARD : "Jadon #Sancho will this season at #BVB play. Otherwise, of course, we are watching the market, but we are very well positioned. " #MSVBVB

What I will say... is that celebration was a little less enthusiastic than I thought it would be :smirk:

The Kehl quote doesn’t seem as cut and dried here.

Indeed. "Otherwise, we're naturally watching the market but we're every well positioned."

They didn't say anything about watching the market in August. What's changed I wonder?

I'm not, no. Math isn't my strong suit. Sancho's wage is a cost that Dortmund have already assumed they're paying but it's still part of the equation. If they sell him, they realize a substantial savings on wages and have the income from the sale.
If they sell him for 120m now, they're not going to have to pay him anything. If they're going to sell him next summer for 100m, they're going to "lose" 20m of potential profit as well as 15m of his salary, so it's going to be a 35m of potential loss, not 5m.

How reliable is the squad manager or the person quoting him?
the guy quoting him. seen another post confirming.

Maybe Im clutching at straws .... but he would say this if they were also still posturing as part of their negotiation strategy.

For me, this is only dead on final day of the window.

Dortmund saying he's staying. If they were that certain they wouldnt repeat it every 5 minutes.
Seems like they're goading United into putting their money where their mouth is, literally.
They've told us their demands €120m guaranteed, no addons, no matter how easily achieved. It's upto United to put forward a proposition that works for Dortmund whilst also working for us. A decent up front fee should work with some installments, all guaranteed. Could even sneak in a cheeky sell on clause, but i don't see that happening in all honesty.

The context isn't that they are wathcing the market in relation to Sancho, but that they are watching the market in case someone decent suddenly becomes available but that they aren't desperate for more additions

I've seen the pre-match coverage. He said they are doing this in case of injuries or currently injured players not making it back into the team by the end of the window

So in other words "we are waiting for Ed to offer the 120m, hurry the hell up"

I said it on 11th of August, just based on Edward Woodward and the Glazers ineptness, and i'll say it again. We are not getting Sancho. Edward was not even trying to get Sancho. He was just feeding info to the press that he was still in for him so that the share prices of the club wouldn't go into meltdown etc. In truth this was our chance. Covid, he wanting to join us, BVB giving us a reasonable price that we could meet. Everything was going for us to get Sancho.
Today's spin is that we will go after him next year. really? with no CL football? With him probably costing 150 million? we would nearly double our highest fee ever paid. Sorry to say, but we are never going to get Sancho playing in our team. Even if we have CL football, would you join the club that basically had rejected you? embarrassed you like that? Why does my club make me feel like this every freaking summer? I have supported our club since 2000 and i have never felt so shite.
Should really turn tele off right about now, Sancho looks really good

Exactly!

If they're asked about Sancho, they could easily reply, we're not discussing that, you know where we stand.
Instead they're now adding stuff like "Otherwise we're watching the market, but we're well positioned" meaning, to me, if a bid comes in, we know who we want and we'll work fast to get them as a replacement.

Said it before but will reiterate this has been dead all summer long. Not for one minute was United spending 120m during this pandemic.

Better to look busy and let this play out than receive criticism for not spending money again.

Was talking about possible incomings not in relation to Sancho

Dortmund saying he's staying. If they were that certain they wouldnt repeat it every 5 minutes.
Tbf, they're asked about it non-stop and if they said anything else ("No comment."), it would be twisted in the other way ("Sancho deal almost done!!!!") almost in an instant!

I think we're making a similar point. What @Kasper was saying was that keeping him is worth the 20m. My point was that factoring in his wages that figure comes down to 5m. Your perspective considers the combined loss of revenue and expenses and shows the true cost of keeping Sancho for an additional year to be punitive and the natural conclusion is that Dortmund should be happy accepting a bid between €85 - 100m.

To make matters worse, Bellingham has also scored, 2-0 BD

Best player on the pitch so far, running the show on the middle of the park. He looks extremely composed and complete, with a great physique to top it off. Colour me impressed.

I hope Harry Pinero’s rapping career is over. All those diss tracks about him being a fake-ass ITK. Wanker.

Same goes for the shitty Muppetiers subreddit. Hope it's disappears into nothingness along with their wanker IKNs (I Know Nothings). I hope the mods/ posters there can take their 'mupdates', write them down on a piece of paper, fold them eight times, soak them in olive oil and shove them up their ass.

Earmarked for Bayern Munich then in 2 years time

They could easily just reply "Our position is clear, please no further questions on the matter". Then again, i guess this saga is gaining publicity for both clubs, which is what they all want.

I feel sorry for you muppets who actually think he's going to sign for us.

This transfer has developed into a cat and mouse game.

I don't understand this. BVB set the deadline for August 10. Sancho just signed new deal to extend his contract. Is there any update from BVB that they still want to do a deal?

We were never getting him. Amazing this thread is over a thousand pages tbh. Mata as RW for the season

Don’t we have some on here? We should shame them forever.

What is more annoying is that Jude Bellingham had interest in coming here but didn't because his family felt put off by our approach which is once again a damning indictment of our current setup. Regarding Jadon Sancho, it seems we just can't seem to get that deal over the line which again isn't surprising given who actually runs this club. The agreement is there with the player but the club don't seem to want to deal directly with ours which I think says a lot.

Such a small time post by ESPN. Bet it’s posted by Craig Burley.

Deserve all you get for believing any of these idiots are ITKs.
