Jadon Sancho (Out)

Wait, are we not still paying Dortmund Sancho’s fee for the next 2/3 years?

I would just not sanction this deal to Dortmund as it’s just embarrassing in all aspects.

Well the alternative is paying a non-footballer full whack. Clubs aren’t going to be lining up to get him unless it’s for free.

United passed the embarrassing stage long ago, just clear the mess up.

Asked you something simple, with no malice, as I thought I might have missed something recently. You didn’t really answer my question why you deem him a prick - which is within your right, to be fair.

I don’t know, he was banished from first team by the manager - I wouldn’t class that as him taking the piss out the club. I think his wages are a non-factor. The manager spoke publicly against him and he disagreed, as he doesn’t feel it was reflective of reality. The manager’s now demanding an apology, which he feels strongly enough about not to give.

Thought he’d done something substantial to be labelled a prick. Either way, parting ways seems best for all involved.

I like the way you phrased it. Do you work in PR? Because I’m starting to feel bad for Sancho now.

But in all honesty you raised very good points. His wages shouldn’t be a part of it. If a team of office workers are all looking forward to being part of a 3 man pitch for something. The boss selects 3 out of 4 that he had at his disposal and in feedback he says “in practice pitches the 3 I selected seemed like they did more research ” How would you expect the 4th employee to respond?

I’d argue if the 4th responded in the office equivalent manner to Sancho he’d develop a reputation as being a bit of a knob.

Pound for pound he’s our worst ever signing and no one can convince me different, that said I pray he tears it up at Dortmund so we get a good fee for him in the summer and can be done with him for good.

He hasnt played in months. Itll take him till March at the earliest to get back to full fitness..

Falcao and Sanchez are in with a good shout as well. Can't remember Falcao doing anything of note in the time he was here.

Falcao was a loan deal with option to buy from memory so we only had to put up with it for one season.

He was on massive wages at the time though. That's what I remember from his loan spell with us. Looked like Bambi on ice when he did play. Completely and utterly useless.

And he still got a gig with Chelsea after that......unbelievable really.

And ended up being just as shit. He got some nice pay out of his stint in England though. Can't fault his hussle.

Can't wait for him to go. Don't care where he goes or what he does next. He's been a total disappointment. Wasted his talent at our club. Wouldn't surprise me entirely if he drops out of the game within the next three years.

Just get the deal done. He needs to be out of this club.

He'll go to Dortmund, call Watzke a lying son of a whore, declare himself a mistreated scapegoat after a heavy defeat to Bayern Munich, and be back in June.

He'll then have a fantastic two games in preseason, convincing the club to keep him on, before getting upset about his FC25 rating in September and going on strike for the rest of the campaign.
I like this synopsis.

Can't wait for Season 2.

They are laughing at us. Sold him for 85m. Get him back for free and pay him only half his wages.

What a way to do business, United way.

But there’s nothing we can do right now, either letting him rot here until his value go zero, or loan him out at discount fee in hope that he may regain his form and we could a) sell him for better price in summer or b) back to our first team if ETH get sacked.

Please Ineos stop other clubs from bending us over and taking the piss like this. I bet Dortmund's admin crack jokes about us at parties.

Oh and Sancho can feck off, the useless bum.

Is there a queue of clubs waiting to make an improved offer?

if this is the best we can get then it’s better than the current situation.

For that return, would rather send him home, its actually laughable the whole thing.

€3.5m covers I think roughly half of his ridiculous wage for the rest of the season.

Under the circumstances, I think that’s the best we could’ve hoped for. Fingers crossed Dortmund can get enough out of him to convince someone else to offer a decent enough wage so he can agree to part ways in the summer.

I’d say everyone has accepted that his transfer fee should just be written off as a bad cost and a clean break is best all round at this stage.

Have there been recent media reports about his fitness?

Hoping he gets back to some form at Dortmund and then we get a decent price in the summer. Another big loss though on a big transfer: can’t keep going on like this.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, Dortmund have been a bit like United this season, minus the CL embarrassment, but in no way a team that made its attackers shine.

We should not pay a single penny of his wages. Similar to what Atletico have done with Joao Felix. If he's desperate to play, he'll find an agreement with Dortmund on some reduced wages they will pay. Otherwise let him rot in the stands and save those 7 (or whatever) million from some other avenues.

But that's wishful thinking. Our club doesn't think twice about making stupid financial decisions and setting poor standards in transfer business. What a fecking shame that we would be paying Sancho good money to be playing somewhere else when he wouldn't even do the bare minimum here.

I would give him the Bogarde treatment.

Joao Felix wasn't suspended indefinitely by his coach though, so it's a bit apples and oranges.
And the business can't just operate on the same feelings of hate as you seem to. They are getting a (little) bit of money and the chance that he will leave next summer, maybe even for a little fee. The difference could be like 30m.

If he is "pushing a lot", then may be he should take a pay cut to restart his career at BVB.
