Not really. Sanchez was well past his best during his last season with Arsenal before joining us, we clearly bought a player based ln his reputation who is on his downhill, but at least you can see he trying hard but failed. Same applies for Torres, never the same player even he moves back to Spain after his time in Chelsea. You need to understand not every player is a Ronaldo or Messi who could maintain their top form for so many years. Most of them only managed to peak for a while and were done shortly after. Di Maria never wants to play for us though, this could affect his performance too as he was not in his right mind, and I don’t think he is as good anyway even after moving to PSG.Sanchez was great for Arsenal but horrible for United.
Di Maria was great for every team he played for accept for United.
Torres was a Ballon Dor contender for Liverpool but looked like the spanish Werner for Chelsea, i could go on and on.
Nobody struggles because he plays in the Premier League, but some players struggle to adapt to a new team, new tactics etc. Just like Hazard in Spain.
If United signed Sanchez from Dortmund instead of Arsenal you would claim he couldnt deal with the amazing EPL defenders.
Sancho, he clearly wants to be here and he is only 21 , he should be on uphill instead. It’s clear that there’s huge gap between BL and PL, he look totally lost here and can’t really catch up with the pace of the game, he will need more time to adapt. Some may find their feet eventually (Havertz?), while others may never (ie Kagawa, Mkhit, Werner).
