Very unimpressed. Lacks a lot of pace and doesn’t have that directness many were claiming he had. He seems more like a playmaker than an actual winger. It’s also clear to see he prefers playing on the left which has once again shown we didnt solve our RW problem. Let’s give him a full game next week so he can get more accustomed to the league.
He is a playmaker and we bought him to be one considering the others are all forwards. He is fine on either wing and switches throughout the game which is fine as Rashford does that too (and he is our main winger whenever he comes back from injury).

Im here to tell you when Rashford returns he is not benching Pogba on the left. He will only play on the left when deep in games we move pogba central because we need to remove one of our other midfielders.

He had half an hour ffs and he's barely had any time to get to know good team mates. Unbelievable how quick people are to judge.
Think he will love playing with Cavani. He moves all over the place to receive the ball. If it means Mason has to go to the right again, so be it. Greenwood was fine there with Cavani and learnt a lot off him. He does not do well out there when you have a very unfit Martial.

Glad to see we've bolstered our left wing options

Yes let’s…

I'm confident in saying that I'm more than sure 90% of people haven't watched him play more than 5 games for Dortmund before his move.

He's lacking in match fitness and sharpness, including trying to gain cohesion with his teammates, this doesn't happen overnight. It's also up to Ole to find the best system to get the most out of him until he settles. And it certainly doesn't help when your midfield can't play the ball through the middle of the pitch.

I'm also confident in saying, he's going to he an absolute menace and nightmare to most defences he comes across once he's settled.

Yep, agreed. Cavani coming back will be big for us. Very clever pleasure and I can definitely see him and Sancho building quite an understanding.

Yeah let’s just give him the one game to get accustomed after making stupid comments based on about 20 minutes of his performance.

Caf, bloody hell.

Well that's naive to think Rashford won't come back into the starting lineup. Rashford for 2 seasons has been overplayed even when injured because he is that important to us, leading to more injuries. When he's fit, he's going back on the left and Sancho will be on the right, with Pogba dropping behind Bruno. Without a doubt.

Only thing stupid is your reading comprehension. Letting him get accustomed to the league doesn’t change the fact that I’m unimpressed by his showing today.

My 2 thoughts after the game:
1) he needs time to gel with the players
2) he needs time getting used to the PL defenders.

Good for you giving him another game to prove you otherwise. Numpty.

I wonder what the Venn diagram is of posters moaning Sancho didn’t get to start, and posters unimpressed with how he played?

genuinely starting to despise this forum these days. People cannot keep their heads in check after a match.

He seems a quiet guy from his interviews, and I fear the Euro Finals would have knocked his confidence a bit.

But he will be fine, today shouldn’t be used to make a judgment on him.

Winning away from home is going to be tougher this campaign with the crowds back.

Yep. In absolute meltdown and calling for Ole’s head cause we drew our SECOND game of the season. While wanking over Lukaku and proclaiming Chelsea champions cause they’re currently beating a terrible Arsenal side in their SECOND game of the season. I wonder why folk even bother following football at times.

I’m a bit surprised to see so many turn on him after a half hour sub appearance for us. So many of the posters on here were desperate for him, at least give him some time to settle in.

Quiet start to the season but that is To be expected after missing preseason etc.

I've been saying for a year that while he is a good player, signing Sancho wasnt going to be enough to close the gap. Didn't think it would be proven on the pitch so quickly

Perfectly understandable to have some level of skepticism, given how Kagawa and Mikiytaryan turned out and Sancho looking average for England but yeah, he hasn't even played 45 mins yet so any judgment should be weeks off, at least.

If we judge by the his first 2 games, he is easily worst than Grealish.... but no we are not going to judge a player in his first 2 games.

This seemed like the problem to me. He's obviously class. Reminds me of Hazard a bit.

For £70m you would expect players to come back match fit and being ready to go. Except for players who sign for United as we allow them to finally gain match fitness by November by which point we are already out of the title race.

Cameo appearance again but offered absolutely nothing. Not a great start to his United career.

He's barely played 60 minutes, it takes time to adjust to a new team and league which is why many of us wanted him to start today and get a couple 90 minutes in before the international break.

Agreed. I’ve skimmed over this thread and the #oleout trending thread and some of the comments in both are unbelievably stupid

Keep your ego in check please, patting yourself on the back being “proven” right after a grand total of 40 footballing minutes.

Beyond belief
