If we sign him, the deal will be announced after the Euros.
Sure, agreed on effective. And I don't think it's a problem to have quality in depth, it's of course much needed. I just think if it ends up being Greenwood and Sancho for the right wing, and Martial still slugging it out with Cavani for the spot up top, Amad will miss out on the playing time he definitely will need. So hopefully, if Sancho ends up coming, Greenwood will be deployed as a striker, with Amad getting minutes when Sancho is rested.
I'm in the same boat when it comes to the positions that need fixing, but then I look at our midfield and compare it to any great team now or before, and it's as clear as day that we need two midfielders. I think I'd go for a new midfield with passing ability and technical competence over any other position at the moment, even though we seriously need a centre back and another attacking player on the right.
Pogba doesn't fit there, Bruno won't fit there, Donny doesn't suit Ole's style at all, and McTominay and Fred are just way too limited to be first XI players in a side that dominates (and opens up defenses, playing at a high tempo).
Well the whole point is if Dortmund have had a dose of reality and dropped their price to something realistic.
Ah good. Chelsea being interested in Haaland is yet another excuse to embark in everyone’s favourite hobby: bash United.
I'm still not convinced that Sancho is an urgent requirement. There is no doubt he's a great player who would improve us no end. But if we have a limited budget, we need to 1st sign a DM and a CH rather than sign an RW. These are the two most important roles that need filling. Otherwise, we will be no better than this season. We need the spine of the team to be strong and move on from there.
Rashford is definitely a natural wide forward with great dribbling ability, it's just you have to balance out the attack. We can't have 2 wide forwards flanking a classic #9 and a second striker basically in behind. We need a creative wide player on one side opposite to the wide forward to balance out the attack and Sancho would definitely bring that.Neither Rashford or Greenwood are natural wide forwards, neither have great dribbling ability.
No problem, We move on and if a club is prepared to pay more than us I am sure Dortmund would sell him to them. Why should they tbh? If they are happy to not sell they are under no obligation to drop the price.
Not sure how to break this to youBut his first name is still Rowdy right?

My first thought upon hearing Chelsea May spend 175m on a single player isn’t to slate Manchester United. It’s a bit odd that it would be anyone’s to be honest - let alone a journalist. My first thought was actually how incredibly broken the game is and how anyone who thinks this is remotely sustainable is living with fingers in their ears.Do you not feel the people running the club deserve it?
Objectively they do a terrible job of it.
It is sustainable gor a select group of clubs like Chelsea, City, PSG etc. because of two simple reasons. My first thought upon hearing Chelsea May spend 175m on a single player isn’t to slate Manchester United. Happy Sancho Day 2021 fellow muppets
Big day today
He signed then?

He went on that quite incredible run where he beat like two men. He does have the ability to dribble past men in low blocks and has done it quite often in his career. He just has terrible decision making where when he gets past one or even two he then doesn’t pass and tries too much.Did you watch the Europa League final? Didn't beat his man once. He's fast but he's nowhere near being a natural dribbler, especially on the left where if he doesn't cut in into his right he can't do anything. If anything he looks better dribbling on the right because he can zig zag both ways with his right foot.
Also this idea of needing a passer and a runner on the flanks really has no basis in anything. Look at Mane and Salah. Ronaldo and Nani. Ronaldo and Bale. All strong dribblers and finishers.
Rashford's attributes are runs in behind, finishing, and a strong passing range. Rarely dribbles past a low block. Sancho's attributes are great passing, one twos, close control, good finishing. Doesn't often dribble past men in a low block. It may somehow end up working but more likely is it'll be a continuation of what we already see against low blocks - a lot of passing sideways and backwards.

Say we agree a fee with Dortmund while sancho is on international dutie but then he picks up a bad injury what would happen then?
Sancho is currently quoted at around 85m pounds by Dortmund. So perhaps we are trying our best to negotiate a 80m plus 5m add-on deal? What are these lasts tweets about the £80 million plus add-on?
Last summer the price for Sancho was £103 million.
Now they are talking about £80m PLUS add-ons....
So if the add-ons will be around £10-15 million, then the price hasn't really dropped? How that can be?
Jan-Aage Fjorthoft will have something to say for sure, and then maybe Christian Falk will even tell us about its epistemological status.A flurry of exciting tweets to come today, I feel it in my bones.

You're delusional if you think either of Kane or Haaland get us the title. Kane, Haaland AND Ronaldo wouldn't get us the title because our midfield and defence is dead, we create minimal chances for our number 9 and we leak goals at every set piece and crossing opportunity.I'm really not sure Sancho is the missing piece for us, feels like we still need a clinical goalscorer rather then a wide forward. Kane gets us the title. Haaland gets us the title. Does Sancho gets us the title?

I think Kane is already married. If I have to pick between him and Marry Kane i'd pick him anyday. Problem is we'll be skint after signing any of them.

Sancho is an Elite level creator who we are desperate for. It maybe in this thread much earlier but one of the forums esteemed members who does great work and in depth analysis on how he would vastly improve our team and the areas he would improve. The guy is not just a 'winger' and he is the right kind of player we need.
Agree we need a DM, but maybe the long term view is that its money wasted if Jimmy Garner's development continues on the same trajectory, and he could be a first team ready within the next 12 months.
