Would people be excited about this signing?
He seemed to pick his form back up at the end of the season.

Do we spend €90 on this kid when we have 2 RW on our books and the potential deal for Osman Dembele to be negotiated in January which is a free transfer for us.. I'm concerned about the club not looking at this Sancho lad and waiting for our Diallo and Pellistri to come back and do good.

I’d rather spend €90m on Sancho than get Dembele for free.

You rate Phil Jones so highly that you want us to sign Dembele just to keep him from being lonely on the sideline and treatment table?

Indeed I would too but do the club see it this way themselves is the big question imo. I noted yesterday that Barcelona have Depay and Aguerooooo wrapped up with 2 more in negotiations, whereas us.. I'm not even sure we've started any negotiations with any of our targets yet!+

Which free transfer do you think we should have signed this week?

I can feel it, today’s the day we get a solid brief about us considering an approach for the player. It’s considering day.

Tom Heaton, if the rumour is true. No reason why such a simple and straightforward signing would take us more than this week.

They both arrived there on a free. And Konate had a release clause which was activated

I’d like this if I was a scout. @VeevaVee can you give this a like for me and I’ll say “great post” next time you say something good about XBox.
I'm not that cheap. I want 5 'terrible post' in response to Elvis, up front

Dialllo and Pellistri aren't ready yet, Amad will hopefully get some games next season but he isn't fully first team ready. We were crying out for quality depth in the forward positions for most of last season, so there's plenty of game time to go around, especially when Rashford will miss a good chunk at the start recovering from his foot injury.

Our transfer window playlist for every year:

United are preparing;
United are monitoring;
United are considering;
United are close to agreeing.
etc etc etc

:lol:

FFS we haven't had a RW since Nani and you want us to wait for Diallo or fecking Dembele next year. Id rather pay the entire budget on Sancho than take your advice.

1. Sancho is one of the best wingers.
2. Diallo hasnt shown much yet, if we want to challenge for trophies, we need players who are ready/
3. Dembele doesn't want to play for us
4. Dembele is injury prone

Why do we want to sign an injury prone like Dembele?

I don't see it as an issue to have Sancho, Diallo and Pellistri in the squad for long term since Sancho can also play on the left. Good investment.

People saying Amad etc. The thing is with Sancho (and Amad) they can play left and right.

Lets have some competition and depth.

That's the issue I have with Rashford, his technical ability in close quarters isn't of the required standard IMO. I would rather have a player in the team who scores less, but his presence in the team unhinges opposition defensive structures which would mean we'd create more chances and score more goals as a team.

For me the best players are those who have the ability to stand out without scoring or assisting.
I'd say his thinking times and decision making supersedes any technical issue, personally. He's too reactive, and then tries to work out what to do with his feet after the fact, when a situation has already got him marooned or he's placed himself in a completely avoidable ambush because he didn't either play the ball off or go for a proper initial action (like running with the ball). His selfishness (reactionary behaviour rather than immediately thinking of the team and anyone in better positions than him) and poor choice of action really hinders him at the moment, but one might say he'll grow out of that given enough time.

On a technical level, he's not as involved in himself as he should be (at least commit to being single-minded and focused on your personal objective) to really be able to tell just how bad his technique is in certain scenarios as he really appears to have a thought process that impacts his whole game.
