Jack Grealish

Damn! again I don't condone this because one day they might kill someone. That said if it happened once people should not turn their nose up at the player as if this has not happened with United players many times over.
Unfortunately, not every player is like Rashford, a great person off the pitch. But who knows, a move to United might mature Grealish but I wouldn't be put off moving for him for this, I'd love us to sign him.

Just because he likes a drink now and again (like most lads that age) doesn't mean he's got a drink problem. Anyone around Manchester in the 90's will no doubt of seen half our treble winning squad falling out of bars pissed up on a regular basis, it just wasn't reported back then.

yeah but him being a professional athlete who is captain of his club and a international player... earning 130k per week, changes the perception a little, no? Football is very different now, different level, different standard, different fitness levels and social media thrown into the mix

I completely agree, Grealish is an irresponsible idiot for his actions, but it doesn't mean he has a drink problem just because he likes to get pissed with his mates now and then.

Other than him being a bellend, the only other actual fact we know about him, is that he's a fantastic footballer.

no a drink problem is a little harsh, maybe discipline problems?Easily lead?Friends who aren’t the best influence? The list is endless.

agreed. He was the one player I wanted the most in the summer. Gutted we didn’t get him.

Said it once and I say it again. If you get into your car in the middle of the day in a drunken state (you can see from the footage how out of control he must have been) , knowing the consequences, and yet you do it anyway. Then if you don't believe there's a drink problem then you are deluding yourself.

Trying to forget what he's done off the pitch I'm beginning to like what he does on the pitch more and more. How good would he be in a top side?

Unlike his off field behavior he has a very cool temperament, never gets angry after seeing his team mates fecking up chances he creates time after time, just gets on with it.

I'm just trying to understand why he doesn't wear an adult sized kit.

Apart from that, he's quite good.

As long as Villa are in the premiership, it's going to be difficult to sign him at a decent fee, and he doesn't play in a position we're desperate to strengthen in.

Could've easily seen us go the extra mile to sign him at a premium instead of Beek if Villa had gone down

He really should have moved on this summer. As respectful as I can sound to Villa I hope he doesn’t waste his peak there. He deserves to be gracing europe not scrapping for relegation.

Makes defenders look almost as drunk as he himself when he drives. What a player.

It's still possible he may go even though he's signed a new contract, we know what contracts in football mean nothing.

How we didn't sign him last year I'll never know.

Should have had abandoned Jason after it became clear we wouldn't out up the cash.
Now if we want him we'll have to sell Pogba for about 50 million and buy Grealish for almost double.

Our club ain't smart lads.

If you didn't see it live here's a replay of an incredible pass Jack played today at the near end of the match.

It's a reverse pass brought on by a good and correct run. What's so incredible about it? He's a good footballer and can make those passes especially when both players know exactly what is going to happen.

He gets a bad rap but he's a top player in the league. Just would be interesting if he makes that next big move to a top club who consistently plays in Europe and see his impact at a higher level with good/better players around him and he's not the sole creator. Would be a waste if he ends up like Zaha. Villa are doing tremendously well right now so it'll be interesting how the rest of his season and Villa's season play out.

He's bloody class. Just a shame so many question marks about him off the pitch. Would have been the perfect Fergie signing.
He's certainly the main contender of player of the season in my opinion he's street's ahead of everybody else. This was at the end and they played at a big chunk of the match with 10 men when Mings got sent off. Defiantley gone up a notch this season.

I think it's a great pass to be fair and he's doing this kind of thing each week effortlessly. He's a very talented player let's be honest.

Him and Villa have been unreal this season. On PPG Villa are only bettered by Liverpool I think. Grealish has been unreal.

He is a very talented player and really always has been. He's more consistent now that he's older and understands his role very well. Was never a question for me personally to have him at United, only if the asking price was reasonable. But sometimes you have to push the boat out if you really believe there's a player who would take you to another level as a team. Plays a very free role at Villa and playing it well.

You're not taking into context this is at the end of the game and they were playing with 10 men for a big part of it. It's easy to say it's looks pretty simple but it's at the end of the match, For them to be defending for large part's he's got the vision to make a pass like this threaded through the gap.

Villa have been like Leicester in that they are feast or famine. Villa and Leicester have draw once each, only two clubs in the league who have 1 draw...with Leicester's only draw coming today.

They're up 3 goals no? He and Watkins or whoever the forward are on the same wavelength and it was slack defending from the Palace player who initially marked him but then stopped.

It was a great pass but nothing so extreme. That defensive player did react correctly to Grealish's body shape when he was passing...just kept on jogging aimlessly and vacated a passing lane.

I wanted him in the summer and this hasn’t changed; he’s magnificent.

He’d get regular game time out on the left and can play all across the forward and (most) midfield positions. Whatever we fetch for Pogba should go towards him.

It's an overrated pass ridiculous reactions on this topic, if you even observe Mcginn he's played some fantastic passes for Villa this season much more worthy of recognition.

Can we safely say he's the main contender of POTS at this point? Is it between him and Bruno or is Jack street's ahead?.

Main contenders at this part of the season are

Grealish
Bruno
T Silva

They are the standout player's even ahead of our own Kane and Son.

Has he been better than Kane Son and Bruno? I feel this is new man syndrome.

T Silva? Really? Kane is the frontrunner for me so far.

Hardly anyone is drawing in the league tbf, likes of Spurs and Man. United have hardly any draws either compared to a normal season. With how bad West Brom and Sheffield United have also been it's really inflating everyone's points totals.

If we lose to Chelsea and Man. United in next two we'll probably be 9th and yet will have 25 points after 15 so still on course for 60 point season. :wenger: Some years in the league you can finish 8th or 9th on 50 points.

Magnificent player, it’s like the team he plays for always has a big chance of winning because he creates so much. Heck, I’ve never seen a player create as much every game he plays. Point being - him with great players around him could really be something spectacular. At this point, 125M isn’t laughable - he is that good.

125 million is too much mate! He’s good, very good. But 125 million is just a crazy number especially given the days we live in.

he creates lots of chances, but the problem with signing him would be where to fit him. He plays generally as a LW or AM. These are the positions we need to strengthen the least. Does he play on the right? Not sure
