50-60m. I really can't see us selling him now though with how quick the season turnaround is. He'll also surely start being called up for England from September. Try again next summer and you could get him as his value will start to reduce.

If you were bunging in a player I'd actually probably take Daniel James on a season loan as we badly lack pace in the final third and looks like he struggled a bit second half of the season so probably needs somewhere where he can start 25-30 games in premier league. Axel did well for us but so many injuries already in his career isn't a good look.....

Please remember we're a club who once swopped James Milner for Stephen Ireland so that's why I'm nervous about swop deals.

50m and James on loan for a season sounds a good deal to me tbh.

We’d probably be able to recover the 50m from player sales alone too.

I think that valuation is bang on, similar to the Bruno deal.

However does he even want to leave?

£55 million for jack and a season long loan for James with an option to buy would be brilliant for us.

I’d still want sancho:wenger:.

Yeah that would definitely work for us but like the Villa guy just said they may not want to let him leave this close to start of the season

Strong suggestions that if he makes the England squad on 1st September he may stay.

Fair enough that he's stayed with Villa so far but any longer and it will become a bit of a waste IMO.

He has a drink driving charge hanging over him. Southgate supposedly doesn’t want England being undermined by scandals. Maguire, Walker and Grealish should theoretically miss out. It would surprise me if he called him up.

Do we know that he has a drink driving charge?

All I saw from the papers was that he was in his car after a party and that crashed. It could have been someone else driving. Not saying it certainly is, I've just not seen anything confirming he got charged.

Iirc in his public statements he only apologized for partying during a pandemic, not for drink driving?

Or did I miss it?

He will still only be 25 next summer. Gareth Barry was 28 when he moved on from us and he won a couple of league titles and played 3 years in champions league. Milner was 24 I think and Ashley Young was 26.

His time is now to be honest. Lots of young players coming through that top clubs and England will start looking at instead soon

Yeah that will be sorted in August, not his finest hour certainly given the lockdown restrictions. Disappointing as aside from that he's got his head down and stopped the off field nonsense that dogged his early years in our team.

Just thinking though wasn't Pickford involved in some disorder in a Sunderland pub and he's still number one although probably not for much longer.

He got charged with driving without due care and attention and for leaving the scene of an accident and not reporting it. You are correct that they couldn’t prove the drink driving because he scarpered. Either way it’s not good for a player with his history, if he wants to get in the England team anyway.

I get the feeling.... Dortmund will not sell Sancho on the cheap and we will back out of the deal at the 11th hour. Villa will know we are desperate to strengthen and we will overpay for Grealish and get him for 80m instead. Typical United board shithousery.

Summer 2019: Refused to pay 90m for Koulibaly and bought Maguire for 80m
Summer 2020: Refused to pay 108m for Sancho and bought Grealish for 80m

Koulibally was 130m

Another reason would be BvB not wanting to sell at the 11th hour as it make it nigh on impossible for them to bring in a replacement.

I don't think so. You may want to check your sources.
I think you should. Napoli stance was his release clause has to be paid and that was 150m euros. It was reported they rejected a 90m bid form a club. Maybe its you who needs to check your sources. At no point was it said they would accept 90m. Their stance was he is not for sale unless the release clause was triggered and that came from the club itself

No, he doesn't. He's been charged with 'driving without due care and attention', and 'failing to stop at or report a collision'. Hearing's on Tuesday. It will have stopped hanging over him for a week before the squad is announced.

Not a huge fan of Maguire but Maguire is a better fit for us than KK( not saying better player, mind).

How's he a better fit? The only thing Maguire offered was longevity because of his age. In terms of ability and leadership, he's no where near Koulibaly's level.

Unlucky for Jack that he’s actually in court on the day the squad is announced! I want him to get called up but if Southgate is to be consistent him, Walker and Maguire need to sit this one out.

Where’s this rubbish about Koulibaly being a leader come from? Superb player, absolutely not a leader.

Koulibaly isn't even superb anymore. His peak was 2015-2018. He's on the decline now.

Not sure if you actually watch KK play. He is definitely not a leader, very average in air and is on the wrong end ,age wise.

Can't we at least sign Jack this summer so we can give Bruno a rest and also be able to rotate him with Marcus as well.

And judging by everytime I see him play, God did we dodge a bullet there.
2 years ago he was worth any money they wanted.

I think he is a good passer and generally is quite calm, but I can't help but feel he's lost a half yard of pace as he was all over the place this season.

I’m still convinced he’ll leave. He hasn’t accepted a new contract.

Really want it to be us because this club needs a major lift at the moment. Quite honestly right now I would take just someone who is half decent on the RW

Based on our captains recent shenanigans, “bad boy” Grealish looks like an angel in comparison. Does this change anyone’s view on this potential transfer or do we have double standards on the Caf?

Still wanted to sign Jack despite what has happened in the past, however reliable sources seem to suggest it was dependent on Pogba leaving.

Personally I think that shouldn't have mattered because he could have covered Bruno/Marcus anyway.

We do have double standards, and we also have moronic posts, like this one from you.
