Jack Grealish | Man City

Funnily enough Bluemoon is exactly what the Caf would turn into if posters like you got what they wanted. Maybe you would actually fit in there, but there is plenty other echo-chambers around aswell if you put your mind to it
So you choose to post with us rather than a mixed forum.

That's fair enough but I stand by what I say. I'm here to talk to United fans, I've no interest in debating with City fans I have to deal with that shite in work.

In this discussion I would never expect a city fan to go against Pep and his regime. So why should i have to deal with the backlash to my post from a completely biased entity. This is bloody Redcafe!
What did you want though? "Good post, never thought of that before"

You peddled a myth that have been going for 3 years now, and Padr responded accordingly.

He isn't told to play safe or robotic, like all our other wingers it is just the way Grealish solves the wing-role he is given. That style struck a good balance in the team for a while hence Pep picking him for it.

When he is played centrally, he is more comfortable taking risks, but Pep obviously doesn't rate him as a midfielder. Wrongly in my opinion because the best midfield performance any City player has had this season were Jack against Forest

Then use the ignore function. This is an open forum and oppo fans who are respectful have always driven good, solid debate and banter. You're in the Football Forum, which is being used precisely for its function. If you seek partisan discussion, the United forum is for you. In this section of the site, the ignore function is your friend, but cut out that 'why are you here' rhetoric as that's got no place on redcafe, and never has done.
Sound I will put both city fans on ignore.

This is what I've done, and I would recommend you do the same.

Although I accept oppo supporters post here, I couldn't care less about the opinions of most City fans in particular, so it's easier to just ignore them.

I think the responses to your outburst proves why
Wasting your time. No idea that they are the exact style of posters who make other forums cesspools and echo chambers. Just slap them on ignore and let them yell into the void.
The fact both those numbers are 81 and 84 suggest both 40+ year old men too... but such is the internet.

For what it's worth, I and most of the posters on Redcafe (am sure), welcome oppo fans. It brings healthy debate and makes Redcafe a better forum.

I see nothing wrong with @padr81 and @FeedTheGoat's posts above on Grealish.

Opposition fans are literally what makes the caf a great place to discuss football. Talking about things with just United fans would get tiresome very quickly. The "Why are fans of another team here" comments are so lame.

Back to Grealish, I'd forgotten he existed until he shepherded Nunes away from a snarling Gabriel 3 minutes after the game ended. What a waste of a footballer.

He should really have been one of the top superstars in football. A total maverick.

I wish we’d went for him when we signed Sancho. Ole would have given Grealish the freedom and confidence he needed.

Grealish issue isn't lack of freedom. Every other player they have seems to have it. It's just that he doesn't do anything with it. It's quite possible he would have been better at United but maybe he is just suited to play in a counter attacking side.

Turns 30 in September. Won everything at City but did almost nothing worthy even though he's been there in prime years for footballer. Surely he'll leave in summer to try and get at least some of that form he had at Villa.

Really poor signing but in a successful team so it doesn't look as bad as Antony, Pepe etc.

I think his issue is he was far better in a more counter attacking side than the possession machine city is.

And he's become far more risk averse at city. The latter could be a confidence thing as much as a training thing.

Opposition fans make here far more interesting, would be a lesser place without them.

Anyway I also think Grealish would have been better off declaring for Ireland instead of England. Good for fame, especially in Euro 2021 and getting lots of fangirls. Good for his bank balance, probably wouldn't have gone for £100m without the English tax. But at Ireland, he would have played number 10 and had the team run through him for his whole career and could have been a Bale-type figure. He probably would have got Ireland to some tournaments, and might have kept his confidence up in a team that had faith in him if every international break he was going to be top dog. At England, he's never been more than a sub in tournaments, mostly a fringe player anyway.

I'm sure he has. But I'm pretty sure it's a confidence thing. Maybe he is one of thise players that needs to know he will start every game in order to thrive.

Of course it does. Look at RAWK; one big echo chamber. Where is fun in that?
"We are great"
Reply;
"I agree. We are awesome"
Reply;
"We are best team ever"

And our oppo fans posters are smart enough to not come on United related threads and gloat there.

I agree with this, when teams pushed up and Jack didn't have to deal with like no space in front of him or cluttered defences he was better for it. It suited his playstyle more as he wasn't always dealing with traffic and turning backwards. He'll never to super productive but he would be a good player in a transition based team.

"Jesus, Pep, I swear I only had the one."

Person in being drunk after a visit to the pub shocker

And of course, after you've been drunk you can never play football again.
