Hmmm, in José I guess I'll have to trust on this one.

Don't know anything about him, but the caf seems to think he's shit.
The word inconsistent springs to mind, he's got ability but can be frustrating if I remember rightly.

He brings some width into the team, but is he the quality we need? Don't think so, especially at that price.
Technically very good and two footed, powerful, quick. It could be a smart signing if Mourinho can get consistent performances from him.

Rojo used to be inconsistent until Jose got his hands on him. If he has the ability, then I suppose Jose is the man to make him more consistent.

Yeah he's certainly not shit but we can do better. Who knows he could be brilliant for us. Maybe in PL he would shine. He is inconsistent.

Inter fans don't seem bothered about this from what I'm reading.

Thread on English speaking Inter forum: http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?13195-Ivan-Peri%9Ai&p=1602210#post1602210

Kind of indifferent on him leaving tbh. Good player but mentally he's been gone since the Torino game. Showed some really good form towards the end of last season and showed it in patches this year. I think it's obvious his failings were more to do with surroundings then anything else though. I'm sure he'll do fine at United if thats where he ends up.

If I was Inter I would see if United would be willing to let Martial go.

None of you complaining have ever seen him play regularly have you?

Your reactions are frankly laughable.

He is a very good player who is very experienced which is crucial for Jose when we have so many young forward players like Martial and Rashford.

His pace will be invaluable in the Premier League.
10 goals and 6 assists in 30 league games in Calcio A. Nothing that suggests he's going to solve any of our issues. I'd be cautious of buying Serie A players, especially a player that hasn't stood out. He's already 28. It's funny that you bring up his pace. He's about as quick as Memphis

It's bad when people talk about players they don't know a thing about. Fast as Memphis?

Sure, sure...

Some people see one person say something bad and jump on board.

So is this fella an out and out winger? If so he wouldn't be a plan b option after failing to get plan a (silva) would he?

Gotta trust Jose on this if true. (it's probably not.)

Still remember all the posts about how great a signing Schneiderlin was and look what happened there. Perisic could prove people wrong.

I don't think this rumour is true - it'd be best to wait for more concrete evidence before jumping to conclusions. If it is true though, it'd be one of the worst deals we've made in recent years.

Spending 40m on Perisic would be like spending 30m on Andros Townsend. Both average to decent players who turn up on the international stage but are very inconsistent and not good enough for a top team - we have enough squad players and for that reason I can't see Mourinho bringing him in, not for that fee anyway.

Before everyone goes into meltdown it's worth noting that if this story were true then Di Marzio would have broken it, he's reliable as it gets regarding Italian football and he hasn't mentioned it once.

He's a 15-20m squad player so I can't imagine this is true unless the figures are completely wrong.

It's derived from what I've seen of him personally. I'd say his pace is close to Memphis'. Not saying that he's slow but he's definitely not as quick as Rashford for instance

That's pretty good for a winger.

He is a quality player who if Jose buys fits into his system and style of play.

This obsession with big names and players who have recently burst on the scene is ridiculous.

Most two footed player in the world. Should have done more in his career. Maybe Mourinho can take him to the next level.

With being in the CL we certainly do need to add to the squad. We were desperate this year and had to sacrifice the league. 45 is a bit much for a squad player though if that's what he'll be, you are right.

It obviously isn't true

Thoughts on the source by one of the Italian Posters on there
Yeah that last post was made after I read the thread. Looking through that thread though he had been heavily linked with us, and bit strange him making that post about the Europa League final. He does look a Mourinho signing so wouldn't surprise me if true.

Generally, Italian media is crap when it comes to transfers (Di Marzio aside).

Probably a load of shite, we can't believe every transfer rumour we see.

No, let's only believe rumours about players we want.

Not watched him much, but remember him being decent in the Euros.
Bit underwhelming signing if true.
Sounds like the numbers are too high aswell.

I actually read the last four-five pages of that thread and most of them rate him quite highly and say that along with Icardi he's their best player.

Source is terrible, not about not wanting him that's why I'm choosing not to believe it, we don't believe every rumour like Neymar signing for us in the Mirror, for the record I wouldn't mind having him.

So in summary those who watch Italian league regularly and Inter fans rate him quite highly whilst experts on RedCafe don't. Hmm, I dunno who to believe?
