Technically very good and two footed, powerful, quick. It could be a smart signing if Mourinho can get consistent performances from him.
Rojo used to be inconsistent until Jose got his hands on him. If he has the ability, then I suppose Jose is the man to make him more consistent.

I don't think this rumour is true - it'd be best to wait for more concrete evidence before jumping to conclusions. If it is true though, it'd be one of the worst deals we've made in recent years.
Spending 40m on Perisic would be like spending 30m on Andros Townsend. Both average to decent players who turn up on the international stage but are very inconsistent and not good enough for a top team - we have enough squad players and for that reason I can't see Mourinho bringing him in, not for that fee anyway.

Before everyone goes into meltdown it's worth noting that if this story were true then Di Marzio would have broken it, he's reliable as it gets regarding Italian football and he hasn't mentioned it once.
He's a 15-20m squad player so I can't imagine this is true unless the figures are completely wrong.
It's derived from what I've seen of him personally. I'd say his pace is close to Memphis'. Not saying that he's slow but he's definitely not as quick as Rashford for instance

With being in the CL we certainly do need to add to the squad. We were desperate this year and had to sacrifice the league. 45 is a bit much for a squad player though if that's what he'll be, you are right.
