Italian Serie A 2022/23

Juve not at the races at Monza?

Di Maria getting sent off didn't help but Juve are so poor going forward. Strangely it'll be their first loss in the league

They have so little on the bench aswell, basically Moise Kean and a bunch of kids was attacking options.

The return of Allegri at Juve is a strategic failure from their board. Just remember that they got rid of him because they wanted a different approach and a change of the style of play. Hiring Sarri and Pirlo did not bring the desired outcome and they reverted to type by appointing Allegri again. His second spell was destined to failure from the start.

They shouldn't have sacked him back then, that team was right for him. And they shouldn't have hired him now, this team is wrong for him

Agnelli was against letting him go back then and let Nedved and Paratici convince him otherwise. When the Nedved-Paratici direction didn't work Agnelli went back to Allegri. Paratici is no longer there and i figure Nedved might be in danger now as well. Arrivabene failed with Ferrari and is failing now

John Elkann needs to step up now. Agnelli has to go imo, and then shake up the front office

Juve and Inter drop points again!

I have no idea who will finish top 4 this season.

Most open série A season in years!

Is it true Inzaghi subbed off Bastoni and Mhikitaryan after 30 mins just because they had bookings?

A goal of simplicity from Atalanta.

Is Dybala injured?

Zalewski should've gone down then, would've been a certain penalty.

Poor miss from Tammy.

Roma at least stepping up now.

I was just having a look at Roma's average attendances over the years and I notice they averaged >10,000 for almost their entire history (bar a few random spikes) until 97/98 when it suddenly shot up to 50,000+ and stayed there for years.

What's that about?

It's not a penalty. Zaniolo is actually tugging the defenders shirt and by magic his legs then collapse as soon as he enters the penalty area.

RossonerI supporters everywhere around the Duomo this afternoon. Should be a cracking game, and atmosphere, tonight.

If Abraham will be Harry Kane's backup at the World cup, hope for english people that Kane won't suffer any injury in the next weeks..

Roma totally dominated vs Atalanta, had 6-7 big chances to score but their finishing (especially Tammy) was utterly awful

It is many years Udinese and Atalanta do wonders as family-run football clubs from small, northern, industrious cities. Atalanta was sold to a big US fund just a few months ago, but Percassi dad & son still run operations with Gasperini. The Pozzo family still goes alone through variable fortunes (Watford, a Belgian club, but also a failed project in Spain).

Milan vs Napoli will hopefully be a good game tonight with an opportunity to kickstart the big guns race. Suffice to say, many in the media circus would like and hope Napoli has a proper go this year.

Roma have the highest xG but also the lowest xG conversion rate in the league. We can't score even if we play 180 minutes. Dybala is our only hope.

That sounds like you are looking at some wrong stats. I think all clubs (including Roma) had higher attendances during the 90s and 80s than the 2000s.

Some of those misses were laughable for this level. But it is one game, you'd expect them to turn it around.

Penalty for Napoli. Kvara again, unstoppable 1vs1
