Israeli - Palestinian Conflict

Well how did you expect me to take "Oh great another one…." Not particularly the most welcoming comment of all time.

Kaos is a good guy, and he's got a great taste in music, I can tell you that much. Even his political opinion is shifting, thanks to HRs relentless work, as he's becoming more and more pro-Zionist ;)

Classic case of Stockholm syndrome ;)

My stances have shifted somewhat, but I'd say that's down to my disillusionment of events that have occurred in the last couple of years. I've gone from singling out certain factions as the main culprits to just blaming everyone equally. It's a lot more comforting that way.

Probably pronounced that way in a Frenchy place like Ashrafiyeh.

We'll treat you to a proper one, Ras Beirut style...

HR - you ought to swing by during the summer, we'll do a Caf ME reunion. In Skybar, obviously.

Not a huge Knafeh fan, but I'm willing to give it another try if it comes in place of the other treats going our way from Beirut.

Haha wow there really are a bunch of Lebanese on here.

studied with some Lebanese guys when I was in college. Fun fellas. lost touch.....

We are a fun loving people. I get along better with Egyptians because of growing up there though.. A lot of the Lebanese are a little too French influenced for me.

when Kaos mention him being part Kurdish....I used to go to this restaurant near my previous job...man they made the best kebabs...used to chat with the owner....real nice fellow. I heard he was asking after me after I left. Must go back to say hello...and eat those kebabs again. :)

Kurds make flat out the worst Kebabs in the Middle East, nice people - just very poor on the Kebab front. Unless he was a Turkish Kurd, in which case

Turkish Kurds are always on the run, aren't they? You must like your Kebabs rare...

They are yes. Couple in Turkey's nefarious involvement in Syria and they've very much become my flavour of the month nation to dislike lately. Lovely people though and great cuisine, just a shame their biggest football clubs are absolute thundercnuts.

Northern Kurds*

:nono:

What the hell is a Northern Kurd? Don't tell me you're on of those flag-waving, Barzani/Talibani-worshipping Kurds from Slemani/Duhok/Hawler who see 'Kurdishness' as some kind of dogmatic religion.

Edit: Oh you were referring to this?

Good luck with that, every bordering nation will declare war on the resulting Kurdistan...it'll make 1948 look like a dress rehearsal.

Didn't you say you're from Hawler?

I'm not no, my mother is. Noticed how I gave the Arabic name for it ;)
Notice how my username is a shortened version of one of the cities you mentioned. ;)
