It's all western hypocrisy you mean?No western ally will to be fair. It's still total bullshit
Call it however you want, it's just terrible. But there's no point in singling out Germany for not complying with a warrant that no one in the west will pay attention toIt's all western hypocrisy you mean?

Only countries in the West who said they wouldn't oblige it are the US and Hungary. Germany are firmly planting themselves on the wrong side of history, along with the UK who have been tight lipped about the warrants (but its clear to all where they stand).Call it however you want, it's just terrible. In addition to the below countries, the top story on the Sky News website at the moment is “Downing Street indicates Netanyahu would be arrested in UK”.Call it however you want, it's just terrible. Canada, France, Netherlands, Spain amongst others have all publicly claimed they would oblige the warrants. So Germany are being deservedly singled out, especially when you factor in the hypocrisy for how they along with the UK hailed the ICC warrants for Putin.
Don't worry, they'll be so guilt ridden a few decades from now that they'll be happy to let Hamas do whatever they want because never again. Many western countries said they will comply, even if it is only lip service. While Germany as usual brags for being on the wrong side of history. Like no lessons learned in the past 120 years.
Ten groups of pro-Palestinian activists lodged a complaint on Friday that the Netherlands is violating international law by selling weapons to Israel, a day after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged war crimes.
https://www.euronews.com/2024/11/22/dutch-court-weighs-lawsuit-against-arms-sales-to-israelIf The Hague District Court supports the complaint, the Netherlands will be banned from sending weapons or weapons parts to Israel and trading with the occupied territories.
Netanyahu won't be arrested on European soil but what it does mean is that there is zero chance he will set foot in any such country. Even if he were foolhardy enough to try, he'd be told not to enter.
He went to Mongolia and that was it, wasn't it?I remember thinking that about Putin, and he’s been to a few places- admittedly not a lot.
Spoiler, they will. The question is not about his arrest but whether 'normal' countries will continue supplying arms to a government led by an individual suspected of involvement in genocide.
It's always been painfully obvious this was ideological. His voters were just coping. They will never admit it though.Anyone who thinks Biden is just bowing to political pressure in all this must surely be edified by now. He literally has nothing to lose by simply following his own moral compass and he still chooses to call the arrest warrant a disgrace.
He went to Mongolia and that was it, wasn't it?
More significantly he didn't go to South Africa for the BRICS 2023 conference and thus was the only country leader in the group that didn't attend.
Netanyahu's world is a lot smaller today. As is his circle of friends and acquaintances outside the US.
Credit to Lineker for continuing to speak up even with threats to his reputation and career
The Guardian have ranged from the mealy-mouthed to outright denialism, even in their more critical articles they caveat them with defenses of Israel's actions. However a few journalists have spoken out consistently and honestly and Jonathan Liew is one of them.
He’s been to about 10 countries since that arrest warrant was issued.
Think I read somewhere that Mongolia was the only one of those countries that was an ICC signatory.
