Sorry but how does this make Netanyahu Trump’s stooge? He has his own agenda with elections coming up, not to mention his general approach to diplomacy these days. And the policy of banning critics from entering has been increasingly deployed since before Trump took office. These two were never getting in. Trump has just done him a favor to smooth things over.

THe report yesterday said Israel was "considering" banning them, then the Trump tweet followed by the instant decision. We can argue about who is who's stooge or whatever but it's obvious that the 2 governments have coordinated on this.

..

The US administration recommended accordingly, and the Israeli government rightfully decided to accept that recommendation.

In other words Israel is not a Democracy it claims to be. These are not ordinary people. They are elected Representatives of the United States Government.

And Trump and him are both corrupt.

No. He is not Trump's stooge.

And Trump is a traitor to his own country which is well known.

That’s all I was doing, if you read the post I was responding to.

Of course they have. Trump would like to see Netanyahu re-elected, and Netanyahu would sure as shit love to see Trump re-elected. They’re insanely close allies who like to do favors for each other. Neither one issues orders to the other, no need for that at all.

Great News. Associating Israel with the alt right , anti immigrant Trump movement is a victory in the US we cold have only ever have dreamed of. Thank you Bibi, half the American population now takes side against Israel.

EDIT:

Newsflash

Israel does not equal Jews.

If not clear ask Bernie Sanders a Jew to explain it.

Just seen that Israel has banned two Dems from entering. Is everyone mad?

Reminds me of when there was a big push to ban Trump from entering the UK. That was stupid, everyone insisting it was stupid.

Israel is also stupid. Regardless as to whether the two women dislike or even hate Israel, they represent an ally and unless you are a moron, you don't step on your allies toes, matter how unsavoury they may be.

errrr

So if in 18 months time Trump is out of office does Netanyahu expect the Dems just to back him after snubbing them in such a fashion.

That’s the big gamble Netanyahu has taken, not just with this move but ever since he publicly scolded Obama. He’s a canny feck, so he might come out smelling like roses, but it’s a risk. And if he’s still in office in 18 months he’ll probably conclude it was worth it in any case, since he could be facing jail time by then if things go the other way.

Trump and Bibi are also allies, which given Trump's tendencies takes precedence over the country he represents.

The entry ban has already done more for whatever they were hoping to achieve by visiting Israel.

I think it is. Up until today the belief was that Netanyahu tends to let them in.

Yeah, but it's quid pro quo. It's not like Netanyahu's getting nothing from the relationship. He's slipping Trump a small favour and expecting a more substantial one in return.

A few Israeli sources I follow called this months ago. But let’s assume you’re right - it’s not unlikely that American recognition of Israeli sovereignty in parts of the West Bank will follow before the elections, and I think you’ll agree that’s a trade-off Netanyahu will be quite happy with.

Netanyahu is quite known to end the week with one opinion, and come back to work with another after spending a weekend at home with his obnoxious wife and son. I'm pretty sure Trump twitting would be enough to sway him as well.

As for Netanyahu getting something out of it, of course he is. I just have a little issue with decisions being made not beacause they are necessarily right for Israel but are good for Netanyahu's relationship with Trump and more importantly, his chances of surviving as PM.

But then, Netanyahu selling out everything, including the long term future of the country (with other, internal, decisions), is nothing new.

Bernie Sanders To Israel: Ban Our Lawmakers? Then Don’t Take Our Money

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/bernie-sanders-israel-ban-donald-trump_n_5d56565ae4b0eb875f21be7b

“We have a president who tragically is a racist, is a xenophobe and who is a religious bigot,” said Sanders. “But the idea that a member of the United States Congress cannot visit a nation which by the way we support to the tune of billions and billions of dollars, is clearly an outrage.”

“And if Israel doesn’t want members of the United States Congress to visit their country, to get a first-hand look at what’s going on, and I have been there many, many times, but if he doesn’t want members to visit maybe he can respectfully decline the billions of dollars that we give to Israel,” he added.

Sanders also doubled down on his proposal to leverage financial aid the U.S. gives to Israel. “All that I am saying is that we need a Middle East policy which is even-handed, which protects the independence and the safety of Israel, but also shows respect to the Palestinian people, many of whom in Gaza and elsewhere are suffering incredibly,” he explained.

“I think what the United States should be doing, especially with the enormous amounts of money we’re spending there, is to demand that Israel and the Palestinian leadership sit down and start working out their differences and create peace in that troubled region,” Sanders added.

Doesnt it get old claiming anti semitism for every criticism of israel?

It very often is. The German parliament (with support of all parties apart from the far-right and parts of the far-left) passed a resolution in May condemning BDS as anti-semitic. An important step in a time where the Central Council of Jews in Germany warned its members not to wear the kippah in public due to rising anti-Jewish attacks from neo-nazis and Muslim immigrants. I don't need to point out the severity of something like this to happen Germany of all places. And anyone siding with these two American congresswomen should know that they are involved with radical anti-semitic groups.

There is nothing anti-semitic with the BDS movement, Israel has Arabic businesses as well, which are equally going to be boycott. Neither is anyone saying they will boycott all Jewish business outside of Israel, that would be anti-semitic.

From that same website:

After being barred from entering Israel on Thursday, Rep. Rashida Tlaib submitted a humanitarian request to visit her aging grandmother in the West Bank, and Israel’s interior minister approved it.

But Tlaib changed her mind Friday morning, saying that in the end she could not enter Israel “under these oppressive conditions.”

“Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me,” the Michigan Democrat tweeted . “It would kill a piece of me. I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in — fighting against racism, oppression & injustice,”
