Isco

It's not the transfer fee that would be a problem but rather the wages he would demand

Spurs have a reasonable wage structure in place.I'm not sure Isco is that good to be worth breaking it in Levy's eyes.

As I said earlier, Pochettino spoke with Isco in the summer and the problem was apparently not wages but that Isco wasn't yet ready to leave RM.

If Spurs compete for the title come January, he will probalby sign for them.

Would be great signing for any top club in premier league and majestic signing for Spurs. Does Mourinho rate Isco? would be a great Mata upgrade but we have Micky and Andreas Pereira..

I won't be surprised if we sign him up

Spurs: Isco ‘satisfied’ with Pochettino promises over move to Tottenham, ‘very high’ chance of summer deal ... or so say Marca.

How would you see the team shaping up with him, Alli and Eriksen in the side?

With all due respect to spurs...isco should aim higher than that. In fact, he should stay in madrid and fight for a place

Link? Can't see anything on their websites (both English and Spanish) or twitter feeds. Most recent thing is an opinion piece on how renewing Isco (not going to happen) should be a priority.

I guess all these forming the attacking 3 behind Kane .. probably with Alli more central and Eriksen and Isco either side, but fluidly interchanging as needed.

Some days ago Florentino met in Monaco with the sheik/president/owner of Manchester City, and for what I heard they were talking about Isco.
I don´t trust too much all these rumors about leaving. He could just be pressing for a better contract, and all the disappointment for the lack of minutes could become in some weeks a " I always wanted to renew and fight for a place".

He needs to get out of Madrid for the sake of his potential. Anywhere is better; including Spurs. His lack of playing time is sad to see.

At Malaga he was one of my favourite players to watch in probably my favourite team to watch in 12/13, and I was gutted he ended up at Madrid due to fears of lack of playing time. He's better than Spurs, and seeing him there will suck as a United fan, but it could very well rejuvenate his career.

Think ballbag said that Isco will not be moving to Man City.

Is this James next to him? Looks very much like Ronaldo here.

Agree completely.
Feel free to correct me as I'm not saying this for certain but I'm sure, over the past couple or so seasons, I've seen you say couldn't blame Isco for leaving due to his game time? Sorry if I'm mistaken!

I can't remember him ever being assured of a space regardless of how well he's played. I've seen him be one of Madrid's best players, outshining Rodriguez, but always be one of the first to be dropped. He's fought for his place, proven he could be a good player for you, yet has never been treated as an important player.

Yes, Madrid probably, alongside Bayern, have the best squad in the world so it's not absurd to think that Isco isn't seen as one of the most important players, but after 4 or so years, with countless top performances, who can blame him for wanting to leave for playing time.

Oh, I wouldn't blame him at all. It's just that I don't want to see him go, that's all.

I honestly think he's either going to City, Juventus or Munich. He's played his best football IIRC under Ancelotti.

Can also see him going to Bayern, that league is made for a player like him.

When Moyes had taken over from SAF, I wanted him to get Isco & Thiago Alcantara which he obviously didn't. Would have been great to have had them today. Speaking of which, is there any chance we could be interested in Isco. This guy is talented.

If we were going to go for a player of that mould I'd much prefer Bernado Silva. Already the superior player and younger imo.
