Isco

Surprising that his renewed buyout isn't higher - certainly isn't going to rule out the usual suspects. Perhaps the intention wasn't to ward interest off but profit better

I have no idea if he wants to move or not but like FCBarca suggests the price won't fend off any of the big clubs if they really want him. It seems more like a way to guarantee Malaga get proper value for him if anything.

40m Euros for Isco isn't big enough? He aint going to go for under £25m now that he has signed that contract. With the financial situation they are in, they want a good deal but not no deal. They don't want to put off the clubs due to his release clause.

This. They sold Cazorla for hardly 15M. I am sure they don't want to lose a potential Top Class player for another cheap amount.

The new contract is just an hogwash to get a better price for him. Will be sold in the summer for his buyout clause.

What makes you so sure that he would be sold in the summer?

You are talking a lot of "matter-of-fact" nonsense this morning.

Because Malaga are in financial difficulty? Because the major clubs in Europe are interested in him? Because Malaga would rather cash in, rather than let him go on a cheap?

Let him go on cheap? If he is not sold this summer he would become cheaper?

A price of maximum 34M gbp is not too crazy in todays market. We should give it a punt.

I don't think it is a surity that he will move in the summer and even if he does he won't come here if the big 2 in spain are interested.

You can rule Barcelona out of any potential Isco pursuit, they tried previously but failed - now his pricetag rules him out for everyone in Spain save the capital club & the usual European clubs

Whats the big hurry to buy him if u cant even play him on champions league?

RM already lost the league so they dont need him at all... maybe City could try to get him and join him with Silva... scary but i doubt Isco would want that.

and Malaga is still fighting to win (or make some more rounds at least) the "orejona"... they have Porto next, wich is nothing out of this world, and then Valencia or PSG, both beatable. They have big chances of making it to the semifinals, and Isco is very important to achieve that. If they make it to the semifinals and finish in a good position the league, his price tag will go even higher.

We were going to pay close to that for Lucas. That minimum fee clause is just saying 'come and bid for him but don't bother with anything less than the minimum fee'.

Know he was muppet material for a while, just scored an absolute cracker against Porto in the CL...

so after missing out on silva and mata, is the third time the charm with Isco?

surely fecking off webcamwanker and maybe even peg leg tony and bringing in isco would be advisable.

He fecked himself over to be honest, he had a 17m buyout in his contract with half of Europe looking at him, he then signs a new deal with a 40m buy-out then says he's ready to move on. I think he wanted to get the club a bit more money which I suppose is good of him but still it's probably set himself back.

well the new deal i'm sure improved his salary quite a bit and gives him long term protection if he should suffer a career ending/long term injury and he's probably confident in his ability that the massive clubs of europe will come in hard for him no matter what.

That's true but he was almost certain to get a move to a top club this summer, I think his options might be limited now the clause has been raised though.

Holding steady at 4th in the table...and advanced to the Quarterfinals of CL

We are not getting Isco because we have Rooney and Kagawa to play in his positions. Simple really.

:lol::lol:

I hope we do get rid of one (preferably Young). Unfortunately Fergie seems to really rate him, and if his reported wages are anywhere near true then nobody would touch him with a barge-pole.

Mancini has talked about him I think. I can see them selling Nasri and getting Isco.
