Is Jurgen Klopp the German Brendan Rodgers?

Team used to be quite good when they had a decent striker, blathers on about "philosophy","the group" etc (probably), the press / fans who talk about diamond formations and false 9s tossed themselves off over him but are now strangely quiet...

What say ye, Caf?

No.

He's still setting records in Europe, and the season is still young in Germany. They will make top 4 and run over any team in Europe, until they meet one of the 4-5 best teams in the world. They can easily beat any of these teams too, but they'll at least struggle a bit.

No,I don't think they are anywhere similar.. The first major difference is Klopp has actually won the Bundesliga twice as well as the German cup.. While Rodgers still hasn't won anything..

Yeah but the German league is a bit Mickey mouse. Fecking Augsburg are 7th!

Yeah. That two-time Bundesliga-winning and Champions League runners up manager is definitely just a German version of ex-Watford and Reading manager Brendan Rodgers.

He's had one terrible start to the season following what was a mildly disappointing season for them, yet it seems that some are completely writing him off now, forgetting his incredible early success.

To be fair, the same could be said for writing off Rodgers who, while nowhere near as successful as Klopp, has done well with Liverpool himself and is experiencing a rough patch right now. Of course, that patch could grow like a wet patch on Ralph Wiggums, but it's too early to completely cast him off yet, as it was with Klopp who I still believe is one of the best managers in football.

I think the real question here is - is TwoSheds for real?

Now seems an apt time for my thread about why Zinedine Zidane was basically just a French version of Leon Osman.

Osman has become the go to guy when comparing good players to average ones. I blame Moyes.

That's actually so true. I think it's because he is like the pick of the bunch out of all the average players in the league. So it is basically a back-handed complement.

On another note, Brentan really should spring for a pair of glasses - look more scholarly, like.

God why would you compare somebody who's won German cup, league titles and made it to the CL final to a fecking knob who's won feck all?
