We'd be idiots not to sign him
This. No question. Finalise this deal finally!30 G/A for 3rd season in a row. Sign him
Can we just agree a fee now. Payment structure with whatever needs done. Everyone knows what's happening before the Euros so we don't get hurt again
They weren't really efficient in January were they, Ben Davies has still yet to play a game for them and Kabak looks out of his depth and hasn't improved their defensive situation. This is one of my biggest problems with the club and how it's run.
We never do things early and always seem like the transfer windows are just a shit show.
Look at Liverpool these past few years. They are much more efficient. Often agreeing deals before the window even opens.
And it seems they've done so for Koante again.
We are so unorganized. Only need to look at last summer to see that.

I could imagine the United offices during the back end of the transfer window:This is one of my biggest problems with the club and how it's run.

It's most likely down to Ed. He seemed to leave transfers till the end of window hoping the price goes down especially for expensive transfers and usually ended up paying more or the same fees anyway. Depending on his replacements, this could change. This is one of my biggest problems with the club and how it's run.

No he’s never had a good game for England. However the sample size is still pretty small and also Southgate is a horribly negative manager who doesn’t really get the best out of many of the players. I’m pretty confident Ole would get a tune out of him.Has he started playing well for England?

You should not worry too much about those two - they were part of very well functioning Dortmund teams and suffered when they were in a different setup. Sancho is carrying a mess of a team through the season, he will not have those problem once arriving somewhere else.I’d still like us to go for him but I’d be be wary - has others have mentioned, we’ve had previous with creators (specifically from Dortmund!) in Mkhitaryan and Kagawa.
I think we will only go in for him again if Pogba is leaving
Then we are guaranteeing that Pogba won't stay because he is calling for the club to show ambition to compete. Last summer was not ambitious.
This summer needs to be. It seems like we are very content to not push on.
My impression of the situation is that with Covid we'll have a limited budget - maybe £30-50m plus whatever we raise from sales.
Wheres all the money we bidded on Sancho last summer go?
Surely have enough to get Sancho and then sales to fund another. How can we be so pathetic?
Great way of proving your point but Liverpool are far from a well oiled machine when it comes to transfers.Nonsense
On paying staff their wages, maintenance costs etc. I'm a huge, huge fan of Sancho and wanted him since before he moved to Dortmund but we'd have been mad and very naive to pay Dortmund demands last summer. We can only spend the money we have available, covid has hit a lot of clubs very, very hard.Wheres all the money we bidded on Sancho last summer go?

I'd rather have Grealish personally. Especially considering players that do well in Germany often don't do well here, and we could easily end up with a very expensive player that performs worse than Greenwood.
I think our summer budget will be less than 70-80m. Whether we should spend it all on him, or buy a few other players instead (DM and CB) would be the key question.
Think Laurie Whitwell said a while ago that we will have max 70m parked aside for a "marquee" signing and anything after that will likely be opportunistic or squad signings.I think our summer budget will be less than 70-80m. Problem with this is that spending 70-80 mill on a few players will mean we likely won't buy proven quality. I feel like this strategy has backfired on us on the past - I'd rather spend big on one player that's a sure thing and will definitely improve the eleven on the pitch.I think our summer budget will be less than 70-80m. I think not.Think Laurie Whitwell said a while ago that we will have max 70m parked aside for a "marquee" signing and anything after that will likely be opportunistic or squad signings.
I think 70m will be enough to bring sancho to OT.
