Those singles have come to bite him in the end . He refused 3 of them if only he had taken one of them .
Completely different game then. You don't know what Bravo would do. May be some more dot balls etc.

Dhoni was absolutely right to turn down the singles.
No way of knowing that.
If anything, the last over was the outlier. There were 3 dots. Dhoni was playing for some sixes and a 15 run last run over, ended with a 26. The average outcome if he'd taken those singles was closer to 20 runs which is way more doable off Yadav.
Whole timeline changes if he takes that first single. Saini may not bowl that no ball or Bravo might him for two sixes? Who knows. You can't say for sure that they would have taken 15+ off Saini who was bowling very well. Not to mention Bravo got out to the first ball he faced in that over. Imagine if that happens on the second ball and the Thakur is stuck at the crease?
In general agree that with Bravo take those singles but he said that wicket was not easy for new batsmen so he took the call. You could also say that what happened on the last ball was an outlier given the result of first 5 balls.
$$$It's amazing how Dhoni and other octogenarians just show up only for CSK.
Must be something in the water.
These same old feckers will fail miserably at other franchises. Even with same money. Put Yuvraj in CSK and I bet he'd suddenly come good.
They do have that crucial championship winning experience and some great leadership. Dhoni's reading of the play is GOAT and definitely a huge factor. Plus their bowling is quite good anyway with loads of options. Tahir is amazing. These same old feckers will fail miserably at other franchises. Even with same money. Yeah. Think Dhoni is outstanding. Hope we get and smash them in the finalsThey do have that crucial championship winning experience and some great leadership. Their batting might be their downfall though. Proper passengers like Watson, Rayudu and Jadhav. Raina been a little hit and miss this time and Faf will leave soon. Dhoni's form couldn't have come at a better time for them.

Some players are made to be captain, others aren't. Jinx, as a 19-22 year old, was an absolute monster and one of the most talented players around. Making him captain wasn't a wise move. His first innings in International cricket was a sensational 60 in a T20 in England. I really despise the BCCI and the manner in which they treat certain players.
Man the scorecard for that game is weird:
http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/...vs-india-only-t20i-india-tour-of-england-2011
Dravid playing a T20i (and hitting at 147), Kohli bowling 3 overs, Dernbach MOTM, Buttler below Samit Patel.
Rahane has been given a big rope in tests in the last year or so and yet hasn't been dropped. He hasn't been treated badly at all
It didSo my local team KKR lost by 9 wickets and Manchester United is losing 3-0 . This Sunday can't get any worse
DK is betterThis Pant guy looks good. If he was Indian, he'd definitely be picked for the WC squad.

And this is why you not only select Pant for the WC but play him at #4 (even if he is not keeping wickets). Completely nullified Archer, likely to be one of the key bowlers at the WC. The selectors are clowns...
The selection committee was probably Kohli and Dhoni. Getting all the lads in first
As per one journalist 4 selectors wanted Pant but Kohli insisted on DK
They’ll win this comfortablyChennai needs to do something fast. Bhuvi and Rashid have 2 overs each, which would be dicey.
