IPL 2014

 Here is the real reason Varun wanted KXIP in the final.

Oh yes. Its brilliant seeing her jumping up and down on the sidelines :D

Need Dhoni's wicket asap. Brilliant finisher.

Oh yes, another one. nice.

This umpire is so shite. Everytime he goes up to check if it's a no ball it's either way over or easily safe.

Dharmasena was named the best umpire last year by the ICC. With the technology available I guess it's better going upstairs when in slight doubt.

They have to check every dismissal actually, not in umpire's hand.

I think he's terrible. The new technology messes with the umpires judgement.

I see. Unnecessary from Dhoni in that case.

This Akshar Patel looks half decent doesn't he?

You wanted Mccullum to get out instead of Raina.

Me? Not at all, Raina is their most dangerous batsman, easily.

Yep, looks a superb talent.

And I think he was pissed with Mcculum's casual running and rightly so. Even before the eventual run out, he was strolling for a 2nd when Jadeja had to scream "run" for him to start running full pelt escaping by an inch. Few balls later, rinse and repeat and this time it was few inches on the other side. Poor casual cricket.

Anyone else find it funny that when the spot fixing case in IPL was found, there were widespread claims for IPL to get abolished. Is anyone else seeing the same claims for English County Cricket when this Vincent/Arif case has been found in open?

I worry kkr will lose tomorrow, kxip are getting back to form, and uthappa is due to fail, law of averages really

Classic western hypocrisy.

I'm glad I watched Sehwag yesterday, some brilliant sots. Raina, likewise. He's not going to do this in England or Australia but at least we saw it here.

This form of cricket remains pukeworthy though. What terrible terrible inspiration for young kids getting into sport.

It was the same last time. India was the only country to take any kind of concrete actions. The slalwarts of the game - Oz and Eng brushed it under the carpet.

The two cases aren't comparable. IPL was a hit and giggle, blatantly corrupt tournament. The county's been around for eons, seen worse, and survived.

Generalising hypocrisy by race or region is rather ironic.

It is artificially manufactured with small grounds and flat pitches and what not. A 20/20 which is not so titled in favor of the batsman and at least strives to be an even contest between bat and bowl can still be good for the game, given it does bring in more audience. Circus like this is not going to help though

I was discussing with my friend whether Raina would be able to play an inning like he did yesterday in Australia or England. Perhaps, but it isn't inevitable that every fkin ball with disappear beyond the boundary. It's tedious and stupid after a point on these surfaces and with 70 yard boundaries..

Ah right, that's that then.
Just because the County's been around for eons makes it okay for people to match fix. Well done.

It's always funny to see people trot out the line "IPL is corrupt and ruining cricket" without any basis whatsoever.

Would you rather call time on a 120 plus year old institution which nurtures cricket or a 6 year old moneyfest which has the potential to suck the game of its resources?

There's no need to call time on either. Just treat both with the same attention when it comes to corruption.

Tbf it's not even about calling time. Idiots ask for extreme reactions like that. County cricket obviously needs a cleanup while the root of malaise in the IPL has not even been examined.

I don't want county cricket to get over. Appropriate action should be taken in case if a player is found guilty of fixing. The calls of abolishing the whole competition(which were done in case of IPL) is simply wrong because a few individuals act like twats.
