Internationals September (World Cup Qualifiers)

The Netherlands are really blessed to have gifted midfielders such as - checks notes - Davy Klaassen. Is he just having the 15 minutes of his life or did he make a few steps in his development at Ajax?

Think he's better than Donny van de Beek. Has his limitations but a very good and mature player in and around the box.

Klaassen has always been like this, he captained Ajax to that Europa League final in 2017 and was player of the year in the Netherlands, always scoring important goals. It's just hard when you join a disjointed team like Everton that doesn't play to his strong points at all, in a league where you're up against ridiculously strong physical players every week. Similar when fighting relegation in Germany, even though he was one of Werder's best players. Moreso with these type of players, they've only ever played on style of football, which is the typical Ajax and Dutch one touch and move type of football. So they quite literally have no idea how to play another style.

Donny is an eerily similar type to him, both in playing style, best position and physical looks. I'd say he has a slightly higher ceiling than Klaassen - obviously at this current moment Klaassen is the better player, but Donny's technique is just little better than Klaassen's and he can match him in most other aspects of the game. In the right set-up he could be a really useful team player, but he's simply nowhere near Bruno Fernandes or Pogba's level who are his main competitors.

Martial looks like he has won a competition to play in that team. No coordination with any of his other team mates

Ireland - Serbia very good game so far, fast paced/high tempo end to end so far.

I love that Stojković made us so brave, it's a joy to watch football when it's played like this.

P.S. refs letting the game be more physical and not blowing every contact is quite noticeable and such a breath of fresh air

Ireland not in best spot right now or how the heck they losing vs Serbian muppets?

I'd disagree with this, he's been fine. Been involved with some clever 1,2's with Benz & Griezmann and he's held the ball up well too.
Almost had an assist just now too.

Who would've thought that the two best strikers in the world right now are Haaland and Depay

Yep, a lot of great link up play between the three of them.

3-0 Denmark. Skov Olsen. Beautiful volley. Not halftime yet.

I'm convinced that for a lot of people unless Martial scores, they won't give him credit.
Just had another really good bit of interplay with Griezmann

3-1 Gibraltar scores (a few minutes ago). The defending on that goal may be some of the worst, non effort defending I've ever seen from a national team player. Hanche-Olsen deserves to be subbed off at halftime.

Is there any game Haaland doesnt score? Dude's an absolute monster. I envy the team who will get him.

Why is that weird?

Serbia has more talented players individually, for a reason they were part of ex-Yugoslavia.

Serbia losing to Ireland would be the real failure here, as this Irish team has no quality at all, and it's the worst in the last 30 years.

First he had an awful pass - and for the first time in his life, he decides to do a soft tackle. And just to make it worse Nyland decides to stop his rush out - if he had continued the striker would have had no chance of scoring.

I watched the last 15mins of the France game, it looks like they are playing a 3-4-3 formation. Martial looked bright.

Looking to hate for no apparent reason, he’s been just as good as anybody in the front 3, working very well together. If anything, I think he’s looking more confident and sure of himself today, these games might give him a boost

It's the Memphis show. 2 goals, 1 assist and caused the red card in just one half of football.

The feck and clearly you dont know much about Serbia when it comes to national football team.

It's how pedestrian everyone looked that really did it for me, it's like they genuinely belived they could just jog and it would be enough.

Just noticed that Norway is the only team that has allowed a goal against their opposition this gameweek. All other matches are scoreless or one team leads x-0

Where has this come from? Shite first 20 mins. and suddenly they turn it on.
It’s electric in Parken as well. Great time to be a Denmark fan!

Damsgaard took control of the game. That's what happened :D
