Internationals November (Euro Qualifiers)

I really hope Venezuela make it but its still a long way to go.

Yeah our under 21 is a bit dire at the moment. The seniors have a bit more firepower with Xavi Simons and Gakpo up top. Well, and Wout :wenger:
Even with that you do need to give due credit to the Gibraltar U21 defenders. The RB plays in the domestic league, the CBs play for Algeciras youth (the seniors are Spanish 3rd tier) and Newcastle Benfield (English 10th tier) and the LB for Burton Albion youth, but they withstood the Dutch onslaught. TBF the Benfield lad is only at that level because he's studying at uni there, he was at Algeciras last season too and can certainly play at a higher level.

That’s amazing. Was listening to Tim Vickery talking about this in a podcast. Colombia had gone seven games without scoring and he played in all of them. To break his duck with a brace against Brazil in front of his dad is really fairytale stuff.
You misunderstood, it was probably him not scoring for seven games.

Colombia 2 - 2 Uruguay at the last international break

Oh yeah for sure. It was reported as a humiliation for us over here. I supposed similar to our seniors only beating theirs 1-0.

How many players have been injured this international break alread? Haaland, Vinicius, Frimpong and Millot from the top of my mind, are there even more?

Uruguay beating Argentina 2-0 in Buenos Aires

What happened between Ugarte and De Paul? I keep reading Ugarte made a "obscene/NSFW gesture" but no outlet went into detail which made me even more curious :D

Melee really with De Paul acting like he was some sort of Big Boss and pushing several different players, then Messi intervened, grabbed one by the neck (of course VAR won't step in there or when he kicked back ala Beckham after a foul).

Ugarte basically gesticulated that De Paul was always sucking Messi's penis, although much like with negrito the actual expression is "baby bottle" (to drink his milk ) so completely inoffensive stuff :wenger:

Fact is they were upset at all these young kids getting stuck in and not rolling over before the world champions. They tried to mob the younger kids and intimidate them and they all fought back as a team, as it should be. Then we had Messi crying they didn't respect them

Yes it was just amazing. It’s the first time we beat Brazil in the qualifiers. And doing it in such a comeback lead by Lucho, after what happened to him, is the stuff dreams are made of.

Off topic. The whole stadium sang “Fuera Petro” asking for the current inept president’s resignation. Just lovely. Nothing will happen, but that fool must understand the people are against him and his ineptitude.

What a strange man Southgate is: under the circumstances (the opposition, the need to develop younger players, where Henderson plays his football and the fact this has tarnished even Southgate's impeccable liberal credentials) playing him is the weirdest thing. Unless there's some kind of backroom Government-FA based skulduggery with Saudi that we're not privy to, whereby 'high-profile' players moving to that league are featured in NTs when possible....

"That's a fantastic save but he couldn't keep it out"

Edit: fecking hell Dion "It's a great save, actually" as they watch the replay of the goal.

Brilliant burst of speed from Foden.

Dublin vs Jenas. Ear-bleeding world championship final. Who’s the most infuriating?

Well this is a bit dull isn't it.

Henderson and gallagher in midfield, crikey.

England are world beaters at passing sideways and back.

Pretty inept at progressing it from the back, one or two runs excepted midfielders can't seem to play on the turn, Rashford looks inhibited ( his so-called peers would be taking those passes and driving straight at the full-back, whilst he checks back in and back) . Pretty lame when there's no Bellingham, no good width from deep and the ball isn't progressed to Kane sufficiently quickly to compensate.

Trying to buy it , good enough for him. Sick of this modern football and buying pens so obviously

Quite possibly the most obvious penalty of all time has somehow resulted in a yellow card for Kane
