Internationals March/June (Euro Play-Offs + Friendlies)

Oh dear, half time commercials with Bayern players for a crypto broker :wenger:

I'd say Bellingham also has that, who has impressed me with the little I've seen of him.
Fair, but Bellingham's found his best role as the attacking midfielder for Real. You don't take your best player out of their best position. Bellingham aside, nobody else can offer what Kobbie does imo.

Mainoo has booked his ticket to Euros. Take him off now

Wales the better team against Poland by quite a way, as with the Finland game I'm massively surprised how decent we've been. Fully expecting it be to fecked up still, of course!

Would really like to see the lines for that disallowed Davies goal at the end...
Yeah I think it was close and could've been VARed, but still looked offside.

Not sure if Wales was better overall, nevermind by quite a way. Last 10 minutes surely, but first 15 min they didn't even leave their half. Poland had a few okayish half chances, I am so impressed by Zalewski, looking like prime Ronaldinho with some of his touches

Major tournament in 3 months and instead of using these games to work out if the talented young CB is up for it, he’s given the minutes to a 32 year old who most likely will never play again for the national team. Good stuff

He does it all the time right before a tournament decides to get all experimental in a key position of the squad handing out pointless caps because Tom, Dick, and Harry from Stoke point out “they’ve been playing so well for them!” for a mid table premier league side for a couple of seasons, when in reality they’ve been far from it. Last one was Coady, and now he’s ended up in the championship with Leicester.

I think he was a couple of inches off. Gutted.

I think we’ve had the better of that half but without being dangerous enough going forward. Poland resorting to wild long shots

Always unreal to think Mainoo is only 18.

Great assist Lukaku for Belgium's 2nd goal.

Me too. Calm, patient, making decent chances.

Just hoping it doesn’t go to pens. I’ve only just recovered from United Liverpool …
Not really a good night for current Everton players this...

Pickford and Patterson both making atrocious mistakes.

Former players on the other hand...
Onana?

There's just no other fit left backs though.

That might be the only thing that saves him yeah. Shaw will be first choice but expecting him to stay fit for 5 or 6 games in a row seems a big gamble.

Oof he's been poor though in these two friendlies. Having to go into a big tournament match with him playing would worry me.

Yes, which is why Bellingham's more an attacking 8 in this England set up than the 10/false 9 he does at Madrid. He can do the same things that Mainoo is doing and based on this half, he is. Unless something radical happens Southgate is not going to play without a striker, especially with the options he has.

Bit rubbish that Branthwaite hasn't even been given a 45. Seems pointless to have called him up.

Wales-Poland looks destined for penalties.

Both mediocre in possession. Poland finding more space in final third but don't have the quality to exploit with Lewa in the Autumn of his career now.

One wildcard is David Brooks on the bench. I can see the logic in starting Moore but think Johnson centrally or on the right could expose the Polish backline more.

See if Page does any of this as he's very very slow making subs when games are in the balance, always a problem at the major tournaments.

Totally agree. He is the best young centre back in England seemed a perfect chance to start tonight and when Stones went off I was shocked he went with Gomez.

This Doku seems a lot more free. For city he seems stifled

Gibraltar will now play in Nations League D in a group against Liechtenstein and San Marino. So they should be favourites to go up again as they have a lot more young talent to call upon this time. And United's own Scanlon caused a lot of problems against Lithuania, imagine the damage he'll do against San Marino's defenders.
