Internationals March (Euro Qualifiers)

England probably deserve it for the dominant first half. Italy look really poor in attack.

The Homes Under the Hammer guy should really stick to home improvement shows, he’s terrible at football commentating…

When the officiating is this dodgy you end up thinking what the hell is the point.

England not playing in the second half has made this a game. The officiating is hardly a factor. Even the softish penalty was with the run of play.

How many Italians have been booked? They’ve committed more than double the fouls of England

Good win tbh. Not sure what happened at half time though, similar to Euros final

What has happened to international football? There used to be a time where I’d be bouncing up and down right now with my heart racing. At the final whistle, I just thought “Cool, when’s the next premier league match?”

England win.

Well deserved. The Italian antics and inept refereeing meant the odds were stacked against them.

Was comfortable in the end.

We got there but it didn’t have to be like that, again pure Southgate telling the squad to hold back and shut up shop at half time.
What’s such frustrating is that we had the momentum to really put this game out of reach.

Same flaws with this trash can manager 5 years in.... can't make a tactical sub to change a game to save his life.. automatically switches to dour defensive football the minute we go in front and somehow is still picking Kalvin Phillips
Eww

When was that time? Have an passing interest for major international tournaments but it doesn't replace or fill the void for the club game be it Premier league or champions league.

Imagine being remembered by a generation as the Homes Under The Hammer guy rather than an ex-Man Utd striker.

It would be quite far back to be fair. I remember when we beat Italy in Italy to qualify for the World Cup. That was tense.

When was this?! United was always bigger than intl footie for me, to the point where I wanted players to fake injuries so they could be ready for Fergie

You won ffs, don't be bitching.. The penalty was the worst decision of the game!
