England probably deserve it for the dominant first half. Italy look really poor in attack.

England not playing in the second half has made this a game. The officiating is hardly a factor. Even the softish penalty was with the run of play.

It is really. Grealish missing that chance could have made it a bit easier, on top of a ref who was intent on booking most of the England players.

Turned our season round with that winner at Southampton, then poor bugger had his leg broken.
We got there but it didn’t have to be like that, again pure Southgate telling the squad to hold back and shut up shop at half time.

When was that time? Have an passing interest for major international tournaments but it doesn't replace or fill the void for the club game be it Premier league or champions league.
