India's thunder down under - Tour 2014/15

The first test is in doubt. I think it will be right not to go ahead with the first one. It starts in only 5 days and difficult imagining players being in right frame of mind for that.

Especially after seeing the statement from Clarke,I don't think the first test should go ahead.. The Australian players should be given enough time to get their heads together, the first test is too early..

Great to have Test cricket back on Sky, feels like ages since I saw a game.

Warner's been superb so far, got to his 50 fairly easily.

India continue to be tits by refusing to use DRS.

As usual Indian bowlers bowling all over the place. Need to watch Australian bowling last time India were there, when Australian bowlers wore out experienced batting lineup of India with that amazingly consistent and probing line/length around off stump.

Their bowling plans were just odd.

Around the wicket in the first 5 over WTF?

Also am expecting watson to go out LBW

 Yes, bowling around and bowling wide then!
Watson has so far used feet well against incoming deliveries which is obvious tactic given his weakness.

Almost a run a ball hundred for Warner. A emotional one for him too.

India being their usual frustratingly inconsistent in bowling.

This is going to be a long, draining tour for us. I'm not sure it was a great idea to have it before the world cup

Clarke's playing some nice shots and showing a lot of heart to be out there. I hope he gets his century and is able to dedicate it to Hughes but I think it's somewhat silly that he's currently batting. Clearly in pain, it's only the first innings of the entire series and the Aussies are already in a good position. Plus, he might be making his injury worse.

I remember him coming in, in that Ashes series that England won in Australia and he looked all at sea.

Mr dependable in the middle order now. Always seems to play well on a big occasion.

He's a great player. Jadeja kind of attitude, 100x more ability with the bat.

Great fielder, team player.

Well that was a bit of a demoralising shortened day.

Aaron is going at almost 6 an over.

That's how you go about trying to win test matches. Brilliant run rate by the Aussies.

Seeing Clarke play so brilliantly while in obvious discomfort makes me wonder sometimes about United's players missing games due to injuries.

We're going to be made to run around like fools all tour long and end up totally drained for the world cup.

Same old garbage from our bowling if the scorecard is anything to go by. Got to rely on our batsmen to dig this out but I doubt it.

Great effort so far from us, in particular Smith, Warner and Clarke - great knocks from them.

I wonder if we will declare now?

Hope so. Been waiting too long already to see Mitch run in. Thought Clarke would declare yesterday when that last shower ended.

So did I, I hope the rain hasn't taken too much time out of the match - but take a few early wickets and we should win the test.
