India's thunder down under - Tour 2014/15

Not like we were churning out Steyns and McGraths before the IPL.

Don't you dare disrespect the likes of Harvinder Singh, Mohanty etc.
It's a new trend for Indian fans who don't generally follow cricket these days to blame the IPL. Ultimate hipsters.

Our best three batsmen on this tour have been "IPL Products".

Nah, they're both every similar bowlers who don't spin it a lot and are wicket to wicket. Jadeja's a shit batsmen. I know he's got something like 5 triple 100's or something but he's essentially come across as a slogger more often than not in tests. Patel looks to more about him.

That's a load of rubbish in all honesty.

I think that would be a mistake -- same discussion on TV and Akash Chopra says Rohit's got to go, I agree with him.

He did alright in this test, but he still plays harebrained shots that you don't want your #3(or a test batsman) playing. He just got lucky that they didn't find the fielder this time.

If you put Rohit in at 3, he does well in India, do you really want him to be coming out at 1 drop next time you are playing in England/SA? They'll eat him up. It has to be Pujara.

They just showed that Pujara's average in Australia/England/NZ/SA series has been in the mid 20's which is awful. Pujara will score loads of runs at home conditions aswell.

Not disputing that part but about Akshar's bowling.

Well I've only seen him in the IPL and that Srilanka. He's perhaps slightly on the slower side when compared to Jadeja but other than I don't see much of a difference.

Our worst bowling attack in as long as i can remember, and not surprisingly our shocking drop in that regard coincides with the rise of IPL and t20 nonsense in the lower leagues.

People need to make their mind up. I thought it was the batting that was suffering due to the IPL?!?

Fancy Pujara to work himself out.

Akash Chopra on TV really doesn't rate Rohit, does he? Makes it sound like he wouldn't even have him in the squad for the next match

He really does hate him. When he picked his 11 for the WC, he dropped Rohit and this was after the 264.

Aaron's economy in 4 innings is 5.64 in a test match. Ridiculous.

Guess you are watching the post-match show. Thought it was excellent. Akash Chopra and Manjrekar both honest and straight talking.

In one of the flattest pitches I've seen, Raina still manages to get a pair
