India v Australia

Stumps at 285 for 5. Very evenly balanced..
It's the same situation as the first test first day isn't it?

Would have been nice to have batted first here. Australia would have really struggled batting last on this pitch.

Nope. First test day 1 and 2 they were very slow. They were 220 for 3 or 4 after day 1.

Shastri in the pitch report said day 2 will be the best day to bat on this pitch.. And Dhoni seemed quite content losing the toss. The pace bowlers didn't have much to do today.. it didn't do anything in the morning when I was watching. I hope that's the case when we come out to bat.. Australia have 3 seamers and one of them's making his debut due to Bollinger's injury.

 I bet this headline has been used the most in the last 20 years. Game after game, it's the same thing - "Tendulkar the key".

Nothings changed in 15 years!

A bit sad that we still need to him to get us out of trouble though. I do worry about India's batting line up once Dravid, Tendulkar and Laxman retire.

and he does it again...

Legend. Super Hero. God.

Draw written all over it, unless the Aussies collapse on day 5.. pitch doesn't seem to be wearing down, though.

Worse than Hauritz?

Probably. There's Jason Krezja who is a bit rubbish, Steven Smith's a better batsman than bowler, South Australia have a couple of spinners who both looked rubbish in the CL T20.

I just hope we don't bottle it and let a partnership build...better keep the pressure on, or at least don't let them score...

And why is Harbhajan bowling around the wicket to Ponting or the right handers..

Lads is there a way I can watch the final days play tomorrow online? Thinking of staying in, but only if I'm guaranteed a decent stream.

Indian collapses are absolutely amazingly stunning stuff. We outdid ourselves this time. 5 wickets for 9 runs

Was in my canteen and remember leaving at 485-5 and then I came back a while later and saw we were all out

But we should draw/win this with Australia not having too much on the scoreboard yet..

Closing in on win the 2nd test.Tendulkar and Dravid should see India through to a 2-0

Our lower order is actually reminiscent of what it used to be in the 90's once again. They simply cannot bat!

I don't agree with that. Zaheer and Harbhajan are good batsman(for tailenders), they have scored key runs while Ishaan is pretty much a Gillespie clone in batting. Hangs around, doesn't give his wicket cheaply. Actually our lower order batting is pretty good, IMO.

BTW What a test win for us, this is our third win consecutively in which we've chased more than 200 runs in 4th Innings. Excellent record that.

I saw many paper call us unconvincing top ranking team before this series started, well these results should shut them up.

Special Mention to Nathan Hauritz for possibly being the worst spinner to tour India in recent times.

Dhoni is such a good captain. It's great how he lets the youngsters express themselves yet keep a tight leash from behind the scenes. He went and handed the trophy to Pujara and the other kids joined in on being the ones that surrounded the trophy. Must give so much confidence to a young man when the nations captain comes and hands you the trophy first.
