India v Australia

A single from Ohja will win it IMO. He needs to keep his head here. He was out the last ball. We got our due.

Woooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Laxman and Sharma, take a fecking bow.

What a player Laxman is.

yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

what a fecking match
get in

Incredible test match, what a victory! Fantastic performance by Laxman at the end but pretty much everyone contributed at some point over the last 5 days and that's what a test match is about. A great team performance.

Laxman may squeal like a little girl but he's a champion....what a fecking innings. Some of those shots were unbelievable...made the bowlers look club class.

This Laxman innings reminded me of the Graeme Smith innings vs the Aussies in Australia where he saved the test match and with it won the series for SA playing with a broken finger. These kind of victories are special. One word:

EPIC.

Meh...whatever.

I'm disappointed Australia lost, but India deserved that win, Laxman and Shrama, what batting, what a partnership.

Like I said, Very Very Special Laxman, always saves his best for the Aussies.

You're an Aussie BTV?

Or are you neutral. :D

Laxman never gets the plaudits he deserves!

Not even when he's played a knock like that!

How can Laxman not be man of the match?!

I doubt he cares, though

I think one of the reasons is that he makes shot making look so ridiculously simple that he's criminally underrated most of the time. Only players like Sehwag, Sachin, Ponting, Lara in recent times have had that kind of ability. His position at no.5 or 6 also restricts those chances to show his supreme skill. And I'm saying all this fully aware that he has close to 7500 runs in test matches. I was actually a little shocked when I saw that.

What an innings though, under incredible mental and physical duress.

Yeah he doesn't seem the type. And he must be used to it. He's the guy who we remember when we're in big trouble and forget when everythings going well.

He's a superb batsman. Absolute class. He always has ridiculous amount of time on his hands, and I'm not just talking about when he picks his nose. Those are the toughest innings, when the pressure is that high. I hope we start recognizing him as one our greats, he carried us to victory just a few months back against SL on the last day too.

I thought Zaheer, VVS and Tandulkar could all have shared the MoM award.

Let's not forget Shane Watson who had an exceptional match.

Can we delete this thread now please?

WHAT? with one more match left?. No way. This test match has gone a long way in rekindling the interest people have in cricket. IPL was a farce. With the incessant advertisements et al. I loved ESPN's telecast of CLT20 though, learn from them SET MAX and NEO Sports. You're supposed to show replays, not cut to ads before the ball is hit.

Disagree, to play like this on the last day, batting with the tail, with the kind of pressure that comes along with playing for India is truly amazing. I'm as big a fan of Sachin as they come, but Laxman's innings was in a different league. Sachin's kept us in the match, but Laxman's was under huge pressure and he scored at a run a ball.
