In cricket terms I doubt they actually drink tea these days, mainly some drinks and a small snack to keep energy up.

I'm actually surprised that you are into it.

Not sure really, my dad's into it for some reason and that's how I got into it.

I'm sure we'd get on fine without you. We sell out Test matches in this country. And we'd rather play someone better, who didn't wear nappies.
Cricket would stop without India. No one would care about it anymore. Except Bangladesh, that would be the revenue centre for the game. And England still wouldnt win the world cup.

Thought cricket had a following in that region?

I was referring specifically to the locals considering the weather and the land.

It's a lot easier for the kids to play football on than cricket since you can play football anywhere.

In Dubai the main followers of cricket are the expat East Asians.

Apart from the expats from India and Pakistan the sport does have a very big following there in the Gulf.

There was an unofficial one day series played between India and Pakistan held immdiately after the 92 WC and it was played at some football stadiums on matted wickets. It drew full house and even the locals were cheering the teams.

Most locals are not into cricket at all, but Sharjah has always been a popular place to hold matches because of the large expat population.

I think he might have actually, he also spent some time in Africa, and he speaks Urdu fluently.

Almost all Indian Muslims are fluent in Urdu. I can also converse. Its closer to Hindi and Sanskrit. When I studied Hindustani Music, I used to practice some Ghazals. Its not tough if you know Hindi.

Ok...

No offence but do you have a point?

That's exactly the case with many of the friends I have in Dubai.

Don't you know any Urdu? most locals I know speak urdu quite well.

Do watch/listen anything Bollywood?

why are so obsessed with nappies? Do you wear them?

No. It's not the custom in Britain. I might wear a nappy if I ever go to India.

When in Rome, and all that...

Unfotunatly I don't, I know the odd word here and there but I couldn't hold a coherent conversation.

And no I don't.

Finally you've figured it out.

Figured what out?

That you decide to come out with these random comments about your personal life that no one actually cares about?

Yes I figured it out.

Kinell, you are really tiresome. I was merely pointing out that the dialects of one language is used on the other.
