Always been a fan of this guy. Think he'll do well wherever he goes.

He's a great player who will do well under Guardiola in Manchester. However I have my doubts that his body will allow him to stay healthy in a 50-60 game EPL season. Hopefully I'm wrong and he'll do just fine but his back injury was very severe and those tend to accompany you for the rest of your career.

Dislocated knee cap according to translate. Ouch! Guess his move to City is off?

Whilst I agree with you that its separate - it does highlight he seems to be injury prone unfortunately.

Ermmmmmmmmmmm it really doesn't

Knee injury is one of the worst. Hagreaves came to mind.

It was too much of a risk as has been highlighted once again now.
The risk was a reoccurrence of his back injury. This is something completely different and could have happened to anyone

Dortmund journalist says that no one knows it so far.......depends what is all wrong in his knee. Could be just 3 months or 10 months.
I know nothing about injuries but I didn't think a dislocation would take that long

Rojo was out for quite a while with his shoulder. It depends what other damage has been done by the dislocation. If its your first time its usually pretty bad

Rojo dislocated his shoulder twice and were out for months each. Knee injury is one of the worst to be healed. Hargreaves, Brazillian Ronaldo had dodgy knees and their careers were cut short.

Dislocated kneecap sounds much worse than dislocated shoulder, to be honest. Especially for a footballer, it's hardly comparable.

Think City might still try to sign him but for a lower fee. Risky though as its hard to know how long he'll be out for.

City are cursed, seems players they're linked to get injured. Laporte, Gundogan and Betis' rightback Piccini. Piccini was linked to City at beginning of January and picked up a serious injury a week later. Still injured now.

You think his knee cap is related to his back?
Everything in the body is related somehow. You can have a bad back because you've got crooked teeth. Bad knee means you walk differently which means you probably sit differently which means it will affect the back differently the normal.

I presume your keyboard got stuck.

Awesome player, but I imagine if I still played footy manager he is a player I'd give a miss as his injury proneness would be so high it's not worth it ;)

In real life, he hasn't had that many injuries to be called injury prone, and certainly hasn't had reoccurring injuries either.

God I hope they're not linked to anyone we want

Pogba it is then, for City.
Nope. Spain bound. Barca i think, far too much noise last summer about a deal for this window coming up. Think it is nailed on. Have to admit if he came to England, i reckon hed rather work with Conte, the guy who signed him from Utd.

Gundogan i wouldn't touch with a barge pole now, injury prone.

I think Barca have some wage issues right now so signing Pogba may be difficult

Skin connects everything, you never know.

Bad luck for the guy. I'd laugh if he extends his contract for another year, now where the interest in him might drop. I wonder if that can be called a treble.

I thought Barca couldn't afford his fee and wages, or atleast that was mentioned by quite a number of people here on caf.

Any ideas on who Pep will pursue now, then ?

Oh Pep will still sign him and then be like: What you mean three months at least, in Spain they once chopped Messis left leg off. My doctors grew it back in a week, he was back on the pitch in two. You some ass-backwards doctors. Where did you get your degrees from? A Bavarian university?

Was talk all last summer, and various pictures in Barca based papers, of Juve's board members and Barca's meeting up. And it was pretty much universally known it was about Pogba, and supposedly Barca put a wedge of money to one side for it to go through this summer.

May be BS, but there was so much talk of it from Italian and Spanish media, plus the pictures of them meeting and greeting, that it seemed to have legs

Kicker magazine (print) writes Gündogan will be out for 3-5 months.

I really wonder if Guardiola wants to take the risk with Gündogan after all the trouble injuries caused at Bayern in the past 3 years. It could easily mean that Gündogan again extends his contract at Dortmund again. If they're smart they force him to commit longterm this time though, because Gündogan himself can't really risk his contract to run out with his injury record.

The next weeks are really crazy for Dortmund. They might lose all of Hummels, Gündogan and Mhkytaryan or none of them.

Sucks for him. Missed his country winning the World Cup because of a bad back and now out the Euros with a fecked knee.
