If you could offer Ruben one piece of advice

"Be ruthless, no favorites, no remorse"

He is already greatly jeopardizing his career by joining United, he cannot repeat Erik's mistakes

When they offer you a contract extension make sure it includes and eye wateringly astronomical early termination fee.

1. Don't be arrogant despite being terrible like Ten Hag
2. Drop Rashford, he's beyond finished
3. Build the team around players who you believe will be top class in years to come. Mainoo, Diallo, Garnacho etc
4. Sell Maguire
5. Stick with the system no matter what. This 3 at the back will ruffle a few feathers. Feck em, they need to listen to the manager.
6. Your ambition is always to win the league. You're at Manchester United.
7. Please, for the love of god, can we have some control in midfield. We've been open for practically 10 years now.
8. Attack, attack, attack, even it means conceding a fair few. The amount of goals we've scored in recent years is disgustingly low.
9. Be patient
10. Win a quadruple

Not too much to ask for

Don't be a good guy and try to please everyone. Do what is necessary to get the job done. Focus!

Book a trip to Turkey the moment you discover the smallest hint of a bald patch.

He's already taken your advice! No bauld frauds.

Believe in your methods. Coach a playing style and form the team tactically the way you know and understand. Don't allow the media to pressure you into making bad decisions. Do not die on a 'Bruno and Rashford' hill.

Probably more than one piece of advice there but you get the picture.

 we aren't Arsenal pal

You mean Arsenal under Wegner? Yes we’re not, we’re much worse. Since SAF retired, we’ve only been in the top four 2 seasons in a row once.

Honestly the delusion of our fans talking about challenging for titles when we’ve on average finished about 5th in the league over the past 11 seasons is hilarious.

The first part of solving a problem is being realistic about what it is and its size. A lot of our fans sound like Liverpool’s in the Dalglish years.

Don't fall into the trap of feeling the need to speak about a "United Way" or "United DNA".

Stick to your principles/tactics and if players cant/wont adapt then let them go

My advice: Do not be afraid to cast aside anyone who even remotely begins to down tools and start Academy boys. We have an incredible generation coming through the academy. Embrace the 18s to 21s generation and grow them into generational starters. We couldn't care less if some of these are dropped for United DNA. This is football heritage.

Preemptive strike on the snakes, people like Rashford will probably conjure up a worldie season but they will let you down when you need them the most. So if I were him I am starting my rein by pushing Rashford and Shaw out.

Ride or die with the Ruben Amorim way. Don't fall into the trap of emulating the mythical "United way".

The one bit of advice would probably be a bit of a warning about how lethal PL sides are across the board at hitting teams on the break. Sporting were in a weird position of giving up the most transitional attacks under his tenure while also conceding from the fewest counters. In this league if you give up loads of counter attacks, you're more than likely going to concede from them in droves. So certain elements of his system may need tweaking to adapt to that fact, as was the case with many previous managers to make the move to England.

But he's a smart guy who probably doesn't need telling of that.

Do not compromise your principles. Any player that doesn’t run and press should be left out, no matter who the player is and how important he’s perceived to be.

Don't fall for the traditional "United way" style of play bollocks. You are here precisely because we have no clue how to modernize it. Also don't drink the longball to Rashford koolaid.

Don’t listen to the Caf.

But in a broader sense, outside noise. He’s going to be the hot topic for as long as the media can make it and that’s going to be tough.

Every role in the starting 11 is up for grabs and every single player is expendable and droppable.

The "United Way" isn't about a playing style, or flashy players, or anything to do with people from the past (besides the obvious 2) Its about fighting, winning, biting down on your gumshield and battling till the final whistle in every game. Do it YOUR way, and we'll support you ALL the way.

We're Manchester United, the greatest club this country has ever seen. It's time we reminded everyone of that fact.
