If De Gea goes to Real, what's the best deal we can get from them?

If we lived in a world where football players were Panini stickers you'd probably be right.

No way we will ship off Varane this summer, we're not stacked with central defenders ourselves.
Exactly, i do think united want to sell him this summer and early too. I do think Perez's Ego means he will be okay selling anyone just to placate it.
People expecting Isco are stupid, players who will be up for exchange are probably Morata,Natcho, varane, navas, asensio and maybe just maybe Bale.

What i would want is Kroos +20 million euros
What i think united will Get is Morata + varane or bale.

Was just about to post this.. 50m + Isco for DDG? Wtf? Does he shit golden eggs or something?

Real are such a circus that Isco could have a stinker in the CL final and that would be curtains for him.

The dream would be any sort of swap involving Isco

The best we can hope for in reality would be a bit of money + Morata.

Bale. I think this is another aspect where Fellaini can be useful because we could play Bale Martial Rashford or others and we could be very fluid but Fellaini could be the target man so to speak. I would probably accept Modric too. I think he's got a good 4/5 years in him and Modric Herrera Pogba etc would be a pretty good trio with some interesting youth talent coming through.

De Geas value shouldn't be downplayed though. We don't have to sell. I think the temptation would be to stay now that we're stabilising somewhat. We would always deal with (or try to) with Athletico ;)

No less than £60million. Even that's not exactly a good deal IMO though. We're letting a player go who we have no chance of replacing with someone of anywhere near the same quality (we're not signing Neuer, Courtios, or even Lloris). That's why we'd have to use the money to make improvements elsewhere and hope we can find a very good keeper who's good enough to get us a title.

If you say 60 why not 70? :P

Can Isco be tempted by the money? Seems he doesn't want to leave, didn't he pledge his future after the league victory?

In reality, if Dave does leave it'll be cash only. If we get above £60m I'd be surprised, he would really have to push for it and in that situation we're not going to force him to stay by playing hardball over the fee. I think he's worth £100m, but we won't get it.

Bale. Value for money he is the only one that makes sense. Shame Kroos wouldn't leave.

Correct me if I am wrong but Bale is a bit of injury prone these days.

Its pointless aiming at players Real won't sell. Id say 25m + Morata would do us well.

They're valuing Morata at 50m euros? They nutty? 50m plus Morata is a better deal.

If Marca are reporting something they are doing Real's bidding, the final negotiation would probably be much more towards over favour than being reported.

£60m. I struggle to see why they'd part with Varane or any other player we could want, like Isco. That'd be one step forward, one step back for them.

Also struggle to see why they would ever pay a record fee like 100m for DDG. He's not that much of an upgrade over Navas. Is it because they want the Spanish number one?

100m.

Best keeper in the word. We should bleed the cnuts dry for him.

Some comments in Marca:
-"Mourinho is confused, probably he meant De Gea+25m=Morata"
"Why Madrid are going to spend 70m€ in a GK when they have one very good, that gives everything in training, in the pitch and earns quite less, it would be a very bad transfer"
-"If Milan offer 60, United 50? Marca writes nonsenses"
-"Give them 10m€ if they keep De Gea"
-"I don´t want a overrated mercenary, he is still "socio" of Atlético"

Carvajal which players do you think Real are ready to part from? I am not referring only to players on the transfer list but also players whom the club is willing to listen to offers to.

Real is reluctant to pay what De Gea is worth.

Kroos is not gettable. It would be too good a deal for United, not for Real.

James Rodriguez is a good deal for Real, not for United. As any team can get the unwanted player for the same money, we could get him without De Gea transfer.

The deal which is good for both is Bale. They get the best goal keeper who is Spanish. We get the best attacking british player. He is a bit of a gamble in injury front, so not a bad deal for Real. Little gamble for us, but we get a top player who is also PL proven and a risk worth taken. His recent form doesn't bother me, as it happens when a player is played without being fully fit in a stop start season.

I wouldn't go for an injury prone player. We've already have too many of those around.

Hopefully Florentino will read Real Madrid forums (both Spanish and English) and comments under articles in Spainsh media. That should make him realize there's other places to invest if he really want's to please the fans in the election year. Literally no one wants De Gea except him. No one. Why can't he just let go.

Navas, Danilo, James,Mariano, Bale and although it seems a joke I have heard Modric in several radio debates, but only if they get something like 50/60 m€. I think that the club don´t want to sell Morata or Bale but won´t protest too much if they want to leave.

Bale's a funny one. It's only really been this season that he has had injuries. He was very injury prone as a youngster but got over that. I'm not sure this season is a real reflection to go off to be honest.

Things get worse when they sign with us not better. There's no doubt Bale is a great talent but his injuries are a concern. I wonder what neutral football fans would think when United were lining up to collect the medal. You think that they are fresh from winning the battle of Verdun rather then the Europa league

Lol. You would think it was the WWE.

I would love €25m + Varane.
Varane Baily would be our first choice partnership. As much as I love Jones and Rojo, they are too injury prone, and Rojo is still recovering from injury.
Varane Baily Rojo Jones would be good enough 4 CBs to challenge for major titles next season.

Varane is a brilliant young defender, but he's been a massive sick note at Madrid. We need to replace our serial sick notes (Jones and Smalling) with someone that can play 40-50 games a season. Unfortunately, Varane doesnt appear to be that player right now.

Kroos is probably impossible, so my choice would be Benzema. Since Ibrahimovic isn't going to stay, he would be great. Think he's a bit underrated and he'd probably love to be the star in the team. He has the right physique and the right understanding of the game. He's still not that 'old', 29 years old.

Money plus one of Isco, Bale, Kroos, Morata or Varnane. Or 70m cash.

Bale is a crock and far too big a risk for big money.

Assuming he's going it's either an enormous amount of money or a player we really need, not just a player deemed as worth a lot.

This. No way I would want us to buy Bale for a fortune.

We don't exactly have a great record with buying Real players, and any swap would involve (like ADM) a player they no longer want.

Take the big bucks and spend it elsewhere.

I'd expect you to negotiate seperate deals for one or two Madrid players once De Gea goes. If I had to guess I'd say Morata is very likely and possibly a defender.

Varane, James, Morata, plus a lot a cash.;)

Kroos would be a dream, but it seems impossible. Benzema? I was really hoping he would sign for us 2009, but now, nearly ten years later? Don't interested. He is good, but not good enough for us in this situation.

They're valuing Morata at 50m euros? They nutty? 50m plus Morata is a better deal.
No, United are. Madrid value Morata no less than 70-75M euros

Which is to say, the best you could get from us is 75M euros OR Morata. Neither is likely imho

I agree with most of that, except for the part that he's overrated. It would be a bad idea to pay that much for a GK when they're already covered and need to invest elsewhere. What Real Madrid wanted, was to get him for free last summer when his contract would have expired after the transfer failed two years ago. Instead he signed a new contract. They didn't want to pay a reasonable price before, and they're not going to pay a much higher price now.

James, Danilo, Coentrao, Nacho*, Keylor*, Kovacic, Lucas*, Morata, Mariano, Varane*

*=we'd sell them for stupid offers. And i mean truly stupid, especially Varane

Player swaps are stupid and rarely happen.

Take the money and by that I mean £60m+.
