ICC World T20

Dravid and Ganguly speak so much sense, BCCI should really try to involve them in selection etc, they most probably won't though.

Ganguly speaks with great insight and sense, till he starts talking about Ashok Dinda or when it comes to judging his own ability to play T20 cricket

I think he's great as a commentator, but I think he could be too parochial as a selector.

I think he should be directly involved with the BCCI and would be great if involved with the overall development of the game here..

It was hilarious the other day when Pietersen suggested to Ganguly that the only reason batsmen play the upper cut shot is because they're incapable of playing the pull or hook, and hence have a basic problem with their technique.

Ganguly wasn't very pleased.

Who's this idiot next to the TV screen?

Dermot Reeve. He's bizarre. He seems to like looking like a clown. He used to be an expert on the ESPN panel for the WC, spoke decently. Also used to coach one of the IPL teams.

The WI players must be embarrassed each time this plays.

Except for Dwayne Smith who seems to enjoy singing it

They should just cut directly to the other team's anthem

They should just play Chris Gayle's favourite song.

Was that WI's national anthem or just a random number?
Sounded like a fecking dance track.

I wait for the day when I will watch an England match and actually want them to win.

Also just how many bowlers does WI have in their team, by my reckoning 9 of them can bowl.

Random number

It's called "Rally around the West Indies"

They can't have a national anthem, right? It's a bunch of countries put together

Finn's such an exciting bowler. Some serious pace in him

Broad shouldn't be appealing for that. Let this guy play 20 overs and the match is England's.

I want him out today, but Gayle aint half fecking great to watch.

Windies to get 180 i reckon.

Why didn't this Charles fella smack it like this when he came in?

Looks to have a good eye.

Yea.

Can't see them getting 180 -- which I think WI should at least get. They have two spinners.

Four really with Samuels and Gayle.

The England line up has the hitters to chase anything on form, but judgning by the India game...

Not sure the belief is there.

I think the Windies will get over 200 so this game is dead and buried already

I think England have too many hitters.

They have #6 batsmen at 3, 4, 5 and 6. All teams that win in T20 generally have an anchor to play around. A guy who doesn't give his wicket away and scores at a decent pace is very valuable in this format. England's best exponent of that is sitting on Star Cricket's half-time show. I'd say you need 2 players like that in the top 6.

Also, Morgan's the guy who finishes games at high pressure, not the guy who sets it up. I think he is batting one position higher than he should at #4.

Also, I've not seen Bairstow, Buttler, Morgan hit against spin.

I agree with all of that TBH.

Yea.

I'm hoping Johnson Charles gets out and Andre Russell comes in..

oh never mind, he's smacked that

Dernbach could be a superb limited overs bowler if he learns when to use the stuff in his repertoire.

He's pretty good, but just over-complicates everything.

In other news, India are going in with 5 bowlers. And the word is that Sehwag will sit out.

I hope not. If we play 5, I'd prefer seeing Yuvraj sit out.. We won't be calling on his bowling much and in a batting shoot-out.. at the moment, I'd rather have Sehwag

England have done pretty well tbh.

It's a good score, but they had the platform to get a few more so i am happy enough.

About time Broad bowled well.

Two very good hitters. Bravo's immense for Chennai with his death hitting..

Good last over for WI.

Here we go.

Our first overs in this tournament have been horrendous.

He just did the Gangnam style
