Rain's predicted for the game so teams need to be careful for DL. It's why both teams wanted to bat first.
The most sensible thing to do with rain around is field first. Let's say SA make 150 and rain strikes after 6 overs of the Indian innings, then they only need to be around 40 runs to win. Makes no sense to bat first in these conditions vs India, especially when they are capable to chase down any total.
I think what happened yesterday with the WI worried both teams. Don't think there'll be any rain anyway today (hopefully

Never been a fan of Dhoni's captaincy. Far too defensive.
Because Dhoni would rather get a quick 3 over spell from Raina when SA are under pressure than attack and go for more wickets with Ashwin. Just like he stood up to Bhuvaneshwar and force him to bowl a containing line than stay back and let him swing it.
