ICC T20 World Cup 2021

This world cup is so boring, not helped that it's being played in some of the most soulless environments.

Feel like I might as well be watching/following a computer generated tournament.

Hopefully it picks up, but if this is the format we're letting test cricket die for, it's a fecking waste.

Quite true. More excitement on last day of India's win at Gabba than in the whole tournament so far.

Pak fans might disagree, of course.

Good effort from Sri Lanka, I reckon. My guess is Australia will get them but they've given themselves a decent chance.

Finch and Warner bang out of nick. Get them 2 down in the Powerplay and the spinners up against Smith and Maxwell.

Decent score but could have been so much more. Something to work with though and Theekshana is back from injury.

Smith and Maxwell the dangers

Cmon lads!

Aussie openers finding a bit of form.

and gone

Eng and Aus take an early lead.

Australia should probably be taken seriously now.
Yeah.

I don't fancy the Aussies to win it at all. But West Indies have been a shambles so far so got to fancy them qualifying now.

England v Aus will be good. Should show which team really is firing.

Yeah.

Had the luxury of winning the toss twice now (albeit England chased both times as well). Hard to really tell to be honest

I just reckon they've bowled well in one match and batted well in another. The ingredients are there. They're obviously not consistent but if both come together on the day they could be difficult for anyone.

Given it's a low scoring tournament, I'd probably favour Root ahead of Malan as well. But they do see the latter as the accumulator, I just don't rate his ability against spin.

I think if it was on skill and ability Root would be in, its more a case of resting him and not burdening him with 3 formats plus test captaincy. His average has picked up since dropping out of the t20s so you've gotta say it's been effective.

It is a weird schedule. SL playing again tomorrow vs SA. And BD/Pak/WI already playing their 3rd games today.

Barely any rest days.

Yet another team batting first making a complete meal of it.

At this point I'd say we are THE worst performing team in the tournament. This is embarrassing.

How many teams have passed 160 in this tournament? Three? (Two in one match).

Kind of sad to see WI like this. T20 seemed like the last format of the game where they retained some of their former glory, looking utterly shot right now.

They're probably most cricket fans' second team, and it's hard to see how they improve right now.

Everyone over 30 in this fecking team needs to be forcibly retired after this tournament

It looks a tough pitch to hit through the line on in their limited defence.

It's really surprising that Jason HOlder couldn't find a place in the original 15

Decent total considering where they were.
