NZ getting 327 and still losing by 70 runs is crazy.
I agree Rohit and Shami are the most important part of this team followed closely by Bumrah. There aren't many batsmen in the world that can consistently give the starts India is getting from Rohit. It just allows the rest of the team to come in and settle as the run rate is so high. The biggest difference between 2019 and 2023 is that India is playing Shami who is arguably the best WC bowler India has ever produced and Rohit has become extremely unselfish.
The rest of the team has the same faults - Kohli will bat for milestones, Bumrah will be be wayward in knockouts, Kuldeep and Jadeja can’t control the crunch situations.
You had to bloody jinx it before the final.I agree Rohit and Shami are the most important part of this team followed closely by Bumrah. Id rather play Australia than SA. Australia don’t seem that goodOnly a Australia win today will give us any chance of a half decent final. SA don't have the mental toughness to give India a game on Sunday.
Yeah just adds unnecessary pressure. What is the point of us having Bavuma in the team? He is a waste of a wicket. At least him going out early gives more time to the rest of the batsmen.
The wasteman said at the toss that he isn’t even fit. He’s no good when fit so why did anyone think playing him here was a good idea? This is why you shouldn’t make selfish idiots captains.
There is always that element to it when it comes to South African sports. However, it is up to management to make the tough calls and he clearly shouldn't be in the team. Having said that, he is the captain and the team has been playing quite well, so it may be viewed as a necessary risk. Clearly hasn't come off today though.Yeah just adds unnecessary pressure.
Is it internal politics at play?
Oh dear. Game over.

On the flip side Aussies don’t get fazed by the occasion. And they’re the only team that has troubled India’s top order. They were just an easy Kohli drop away from likely defending 200.
I've changed my mind after those 8 overs. Was just about to delete the post and you've gone and replied to it
11 for 3 by India vs Sri Lanka 2017 apparently according to a news article that I just found10 runs in 8 overs. Christ. What is the lowest ever PP score?
