That rebound off the bat is going to haunt the thrower forever. Probably thinking he should have just held onto the ball and let Stokes take the second run.
More than happy to discuss it in a sperate threadCos this thread isn't the place to discuss this. And it's neither the forum.

England’s four year process of positive cricket gave them the edge in the end with the boundary rule.
Oh you too? Those players you mentioned all learnt there cricketing trade in the English system. Archer did not. That was the point I was making. Then warn the guy who decided that the only player he has an issue with is the black guy with a British Dad then.
Said feck all about Stokes, Roy, or even Morgan. It's just the black guy he has an issue with playing for England.
No racism involved though...

I hate England. I hate the fact that they won.
But, Ben Stokes... my god he was so fecking good. Its a travesty he wasnt player of the series. Yuvraj 2011 esque series.
Excellent point. Something that can definitely be looked at as like you said it's a bit of a shame players having to exclude themselves from celebrations.
How about both teams field at the same time,. And both teams bat at the same time. and both teams bowl at the same time. Team with the most at the end of the super-duper over winsKeep playing more. Surely the longer it gets probability of a tie gets lesser.
Fuel and fire?He was born in NZ.
@KM I apologise for taking it off topic. I will drop it now. I've had two posters accouse me of being a racist, so it got my back up.

He is a British citizen with an English passport. He wasn't even in the Barbados system when he moved to Sussex. It wasn't until he moved to Sussex that he really kicked on and became the player he now is. If the situation was reversed this wouldn't even be a discussion. When the West Indies and other nations are struggling so much in Test Cricket, I think there is a worthwhile debate.

fecking wish they did tbh. Fed was the better player.Djokovic beat federer 13-12 today, imagine if after 8-8 they just gave it to the guy who hit the most aces.
Yes, I accpet the timing come off weird. Should have made post else where.Don't think it was racist(now that I've read the post) but the timing was weird. Your nation has won the WC and you were posting that!

Unless I am mistaken there is no tie in a D/L game. In the example you gave NZ would have lost the match by a single runIt was 26 boundaries to 17. But what happens if there's rain and due to duckworth Lewis, NZ have to score say 120 runs to win and they score 119 forcing a tie. How will the boundaries rule for the superover work then ?
Its so weird when people "hate" nations. I genuinely don't get it. I've never hated a sporting nation, even the England-Germany rival felt tame. The home nations also didn't feel anywhere near something like United-Liverpool either..
There's a fair amount of historical baggage tbf.
Home tournament for India in 2023. The huge amount of talent India have waiting to breakthrough is ridiculous. Providing the selectors and management get it right they should start that tournament expecting to winHope it's third time lucky for NZ in 2023.
The posters who deem it acceptable to make frivolous accusations of racism should be under threat of warning, not this guy, even if the timing was poor and his point naff!Don't think it was racist(now that I've read the post) but the timing was weird.
