ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Archer is some bowler. Brute pace and perfect line and length. If I were England selectors I would be picking him for the ashes too. Can't see why he cannot be a successful red ball bowler too.

Don't worry, they will. 50 over cricket is statistically his worst format...

Carnage here. This is always why secretly I like bowling first. I know that you're more likely to win batting first, but its hard to win the game in the first hour batting, but you can get fecking close bowling.

Imagine him with a shiny red Duke moving all over the place.

This line/length discipline from England has been outstanding.

It's okay :). After reading your posts in this thread and gauging your intelligence, it'd be wrong of me to take offence to your posts :).

I'm super intelligent but thanks for checking! I just like to give people back as good as they get and some of the absolute drivel I read yesterday about the India match and the team in general could not go unanswered.

Good start by England isn't it?

Fancy being so cool when getting hit by a 90mph bouncer that you can catch your helmet when it gets ripped off.

I know what you mean. We just have to keep telling ourselves no matter how good the start is a. a couple of partnerships could get the Aussies to a decent score and b. Starc, Cummins and Behrendorff could also raise hell on this wicket.

Stoinis hasn't shown he can turn games around by himself and Maxwell is in T20 mode this WC. Get Smith and Carey before 120, and Australia will be in deep deep trouble.

Though I hate their whining, I wouldn't mind England winning the WC, prefer NZ but then second is England.

England NZ final would be perfect.

Also Carey for the breakout star of the tournament award?

Aus can be 10-5 and still reach 250.

And Starc with that new ball will be brutal.

England definitely on top here.. obviously.. but Aus are the best side to handle a situation like this.

that's quite Trumpian but given your posts here, not surprising.

Despite the positive start, can still see the Aussies scoring about 220-250...

Then bowling us out for about 150 :(

I'd be generally interested in knowing why you are having such a pop - I can only assume it's because I had the audacity to disagree with you or challenge what in my opinion (and remember that's what this forum is about) were some very arrogant and poor loser posts from some Indian fans.

England get slaughtered for being perceived as arrogant so why shouldn't we pick up on it with other nations?

Let me know if there's any words up there you're struggling with and I'll happily pop back and help out.

This is the only acceptable mood. I refuse to engage with any optimism.

We are going to lose this match and be sufficiently mentally scarred that the rest of our summer is just crying as Australians dominate.

Now that we're out of the tournament, I can laugh at stuff like this.

Fearful hope. Afraid of believing because you don't want your hearts broken.
