NZ loosing their opener in the first few overs, shocked.....really,really shocked.
Did Nicholls not review it because he's out of form and his heads a bit muddled at the minute?
Guptill is senior and should have stepped in there

The fact that Pak are going to lose out to a team whose only wins were Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Windies, and South Africa and have been bettered by every decent team they came up against is a pisstake, but the only ones to blame are Pak themselves. Where NZ battled to get 240-250+ in their difficult innings, Pak just capitulated. If they had half of NZ's mental fortitude, we'd not be needing a miracle right now.NZ have been the luckiest team this tournament. Bar Williamson they are an ordinary side who were fortunate to face Bangladesh, Afganistan and SL early int he tournament. They should have lost to Windies and were lucky with the washout against Ind. Like every WC they will waste a spot in semis.

To a point, I agree. But our strength of performances should still have been enough for us to get at least near enough to NZ's NRR for us to realistically have a chance at overturning them and getting to the semis. That Windies loss first up was massively disappointing. When we had our foot on the neck of NZ, with Williamson and their top and middle order gone for 60-odd, we let them get 237. If we had been in that position, we'd have been bowled out for less than 150. That NZ game was the chance to really get a massive swing on the NRR. Bowl them out for 150-odd and chase it down within 20 overs. If we'd have done that, no matter the result today, we'd have had a realistic shot of making it through. To be fair if our SL game didn't get rained off and their game against India didn't get rained off.. this would be a different story. Pak have been massively unlucky IMO.

Exactly. Where other teams like NZ, Australia, ndia etc have battled through those difficult spells at various points during the last month or so, and posted challenging and often match winning totals, we capitulated. That's the difference between us and the rest right now.I thought your loss to Windies was very bad. Not only did you lose to them but you were thrashed which affected your NRR also. This Pak is not bad jut need more consistency and some mental belief.
England win this World Cup, said it after 20 overs in the India game.
We have turned up just in time.
If you win the toss in remaining two games then it's yours to lose.England win this World Cup, said it after 20 overs in the India game.

Lets just win this game first.
Never underestimate the England cricket team's penchant for screwing the pooch. Aussies and India aren't gonna be pushovers either.
This is a massive start for England. Must be odds on now.
