ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

World cup 2011, 300 breached 15 times, only thrice in games between the top 8 nations.

World cup 2015, 300 breached twice in 3 innings of 2 games between 4 of the top 8 nations.

Indian subcontinent flat pitches >> flat pitches in the Australian continent. ;)

Tbf we knew that already, based on the test series pitches!

Ali is like any other subcontinent batsman, clueless against the short ball.

Is this the worst English team ever?

Hasn't every England team after the '92 WC been the worst English team ever?

On current form, Watson.

Forgot about him. He should be out, looks disinterested with things these days.

I know. It's just that the subcontinental pitches get blamed for high scores and destroying cricket when it is the same almost everywhere now. No one bothers when SA scores 400+ against the Windies, but it is ridiculed when India does it at home.

Australia are great. With their lineup they basically have the license to go for broke all the way through and that's without Faulkner playing.

England should had batted first after winning the toss, poor decision i would say.

Very poor. They should have taken the initiative and tried to put Australia under pressure.

Australia are world class though, always have someone to step up to the plate.

England doesn't have batsmen to chase the game against Australia, its simple as that.
Batting first would've gave them respectable total and chasing under light, first match of world cup would have put Aussie under some pressure.

They do, he just wasn't selected.

I hate to say it but that "Mauka" commercial is just tempting fate. Will bite us in the arse:nervous:

Why did England make Morgan Captin he was in no form at the time and gone from Shit to OMFG how is he even a cricketer

They just keep getting worse and worse. Didn't think they could top the last World T20 with Bresnan, Bopara, Jordan, Lumb and fecking Dernbach but somehow they've proved me wrong.

That's a fair point actually.

BBC news app had a news article on the hat-trick! Has to be one of the most pointless hat-tricks ever.

What a shambles. We'll still get through to the quarter-finals though having beat none of the big teams. The quarter's are our forte, no matter which sport.

Just saw a stat on the BBC website about the highest scores England have chased in ODIs.. Reading that you get a feeling they would have been better off batting first than chasing a total..

Australia vs South Africa final with SA winning it would be awesome.. NZ would be the dark horses for sure in this world cup.
