Although Trott's scored a lot of runs in this tournament I reckon he's occupied the wicket for too long and ended up being detrimental to the cause.
This is England Sultan, someone who is dependable and helps avoid a collapse is invaluable.

Actually I reckon him playing slowly puts an extra burden on others around him and they end up playing rash shots.

I'm with Mike on this sults, while he does bat frustratingly slow he stays in, which is vital when in such a collapse prone team.
Trott's a shit batsman to have on a typical sub-continent wicket, but all the pitches England have played on have been low scoring ones and he's been very, very useful.
