Likewise for Edwards. Taylor is a good bowler indeed. No two ways about it, consistent more than the rest of them. Still, this lot is very inconsistent and cannot collectively perform.

Yes. The top two sides shouldn't meet till the final, but according to Sky it's Q1 vs Q3 in one semi... and Q2 Vs Q4 in the other one. Strange, but there you go.

But it doesn't clearly state who C, D, E, and F are in terms of Semi finalists.

I'll be honest, Pakistan is the team I least want us playing. They are due to get one over us in the WC and I think on these flat pitches their bowling gives them a clear advantage given the pitches even the batting up a little.

I would back Englnad but it's in Colombo. Sri Lanka are at home, have played so many matches there and know the conditions really well.

England are dark horses. They only certs are Pakistan and South Africa...that is unless Pakistan do a Pakistan and South Africa choke as per usual. But I'm not sure that's possible against the likes of the Windies and New Zealand.
On a side note, Kenya have been embarrassing in this WC except for that game against the Aussies.
If the SA/NZ QF is played on a flat wicket, then I wouldnt rule out NZ completely.
It is in Mirpur, Dhaka...NZ had a horrid time of it, only a little while ago, getting whitewashed by Bangladesh 4-0.
Pitches in Bangladesh are a bit different to India or SL...not really flat pitches that are easy to play your shots on, instead, low and slow wickets, where you have to show patience, and putting up a total is a big advantage.

Only way I can see Pakistan not progressing is for Gayle to play a blinder, put up a biggish total. I don't think Pakistan are very good at chasing. They bat deep, but their strength is defending targets. Gul up front and Afridi in the middle overs.
Yup. Pakistan's batting is very average IMO. The only reason I'm rating them so high is because the pitches make batting quite easy.
So should Windies put up a big score, I can see Pakistan really struggling to get there. Their strength is bowling so if that fails they will be in trouble.
Oh great, if us (Pak) and Aus win our quarters we would have played Aus twice in three games. Baffling. I'd rather be playing perennial chokers South Africa in the semis if truth be told.

I would rather take Sri Lanka over Australia. Bloody Indians, if they had won against SA, they would have been playing New Zealand and it would have been an easy trip to the semi finals. They just make it hard for themselves.
