What a fecking match that was!
 
Strauss didn't deserve to lose unlike his other useless batting partners.

And Zaheer didn't deserve to lose for that spell.


So fair result.
 
Terrific conclusion, England looked to have it won but the 2 wickets changed the momentum and India regained control as England collapsed and then some big hits down the order but couldn't get the final run! Fantastic game.

Some great games the last few days.
 
India did well to come back into it and then England did well to get a tie from there

Honestly think if Bell hadn't got injured England would have walked it. The powerplay decision was baffling and unnecessary.

had the most up's and downs in a odi I have seen,both teams managed to be comfortable mess it up then look comfortable then manage to mess it up again then draw :lol:
 
If Only Zaheer Khan would've completed that run on the final ball of our innings.

I was just jesting mate, Zak more than compensated for his brilliant bowling at the end though.

Surely one of the all time classic one day matches.
 
That was a good bit of foreplay for when the Indians tour this summer. Will be a different story on pitches that do a bit with the duke ball. Bring it on.
 
Both teams blew chances to win, but great batting by both teams.

Wonderful game and they say that 50-over cricket is dead and gone.
 
The thing about the World Cup format is that as good as that match was it was ultimately pointless. All both teams have to do is beat the minnows and both are through to the quarters.

I know it affects who you play in the quarters but in a one off knockout game I don't think it matters much.
 
Well that was exciting. Utterly pointless, but exciting.
 
I haven't watched cricket in 2 or 3 years - that was a superb game after not watching for so long.

Doesn't make a difference IMO. Actually NZ are pretty good in a one off match. If their bit part players have a good day they can beat anyone.

The whole world cup group stage format is a pointless exercise.

Will Sri Lanka be playing at home if they don't finish top? I suspect they'll finish behind Pakistan or/and Australia. And NZ are truly awful... which I do find a tad amusing because I can't stand Vettori.
 
The thing that has baffled me is Anderson`s bowling in both the games so far ! shocking

Nah, not on these flat decks. Their bowlers will be taken to the cleaners by all of the major nations.

not like the players of old. I would be surprised if they did some major damage in terms of results and qualifying slots.
