What happened to the accent in the title?

Supposedly not going to liverpool now. I wonder are his demands too high or is it known that he’s either nailed on to go somewhere else or wouldn’t pass the medical

There has to be a medical issue. He isn't getting any minutes for RB Leipzig as well though he's on the bench every match. I honestly cannot think of any other than he's still not fit enough to start because there is no world where Orban, Klostermann and Halstenberg are better at CB than Konate.

I wouldn't think it's any disciplinary issue as well because he was starting often before his injury.

The rumour was he was going through some sort of medical as well and straight after Liverpool reportedly aren't signing him, so it's probably a fair assumption.

It’s a real shame, he’s got it all and the potential to be one of the best, if only someone could keep him fit.

Without actually looking into it at all, I do wonder if perhaps they are deliberately doing that so nobody buys him and they can keep him for another season instead of losing him at the same time as Upamecano. Unlikely though.

By the way, this story has only been reported by SportBILD from Germany. Every other story from less reliable outlets has been based off of their report.

Apparently, the RB Leipzig sporting director contacted Liverpool to ask if there was anything in the Konaté to Liverpool rumours. Liverpool responded by saying that Konaté is "currently not an issue" for the club. We can either read this as Liverpool actually ending their interest in him for now or trying to keep everything quiet until they get everything sorted with the player's entourage.

| Konaté > Liverpool, here we go soon!

Ibrahima Konaté to Liverpool, here we go soon! The deal is set to be completed

- Personal terms agreed with the French centre back, considered one of the most talented in European football.

- #LFC will pay the release clause to RB Leipzig in the next days [around €35m] in order to finalize the signing.

- Konaté has received many proposals in the last months but his priority as next club has always been Liverpool.

Ibrahima is ready for the next step!

FSG are so much better owners than the Glazers. It's infuriating.

They are always signing players early and effectively.

Why can't we do business early like them, hate it.
FSG are much more interested in football performance than the Glazers are. Sure they are a business like the Glazers too but they clearly are much more interested.

Look at all the renovations their stadium and training grounds are getting.

FSG are far superior owners to the Glazers

They're probably signing Konate to waive a shiny new signing in front of the fans and try to get them off of Henry's back.

Also apparently we're not keen on retaining Kabak after his loan. This is probably his alternative.

The defence hasn't been the scouse problem really. Midfield is aging rapidly and the front 3 are performing below their previous level of excellence.

They'll probably sign Mbappe for 20 million up front tomorrow

I would have been okay with taking a chance on his injury history and swinging for the fences. With our luck a new CB would just become injury prone after getting here anyways.

They have injury prone players, so they decide to sign another injury prone player. Well, okay then.

The most classic FSG move after a public debacle ever.

Likely the only reason they didn’t bother in January was the ESL, effectively jeopardising our CL chances.

WTF is the deal with Ben Davies? Is he ever going to play or did they sign him in error? I can't help thinking he was the fallback if they didn't get Kabak but with everything going to the wire they ended up with both because they were afraid of being left with nobody.

This is where my concern is as well. Heck even Van Dijk is turning 30 in July. We've got a lot of the squad hitting that age all at once, and it's clear Firmino & Mane have dropped off massively in terms of quality they're offering on the pitch. We need a refresh.

No idea. Heard he was injured then he's been on the bench a bit. Klopp's done this with signings before where he doesn't play them initially then they get a look in after a while. Robertson & Fabinho both took a while before getting their chance to start regularly. Davies might be similar, or Klopp might not think he's all that. He was a desperation signing in January.

Van Dijk and Konaté! Good luck winning any headers against Liverpool next season.

Looks fecking tasty, unfortunately.

caveat: it's not happening

I would prefer Varane though.

Wish we would do something similar with Jadon or Varane but never gonna happen

Sigh. I don't know why we were nog after such a highly rated CB. Livepool don't feck around in the transfer market.

If he’s as injury prone as mentioned on here it won’t solve any issues.

VvD is coming off a very long period out too. As is Gomez.
