In Europe

Some of the excuses are hilarious

We are

We have a better track record in the CL then you lot though over the last 10 years

It's not a excuse. You said that we are getting worse in the CL and I agreed with you

I added that eventhough we are getting worse in the CL we still have a better track record then you (in the time questioned)

Championship winning form that's what it is.

Over the season to date it isn't - sorry to break it to you.

Chelsea may have "raised the bar" as people love to say, but that is exactly what we did in the early nineties. And to prise the title from Chelsea we are going to have to do it again.

Fergie said it , so the realisation is there and perhaps the key for us to raise the bar again will be flair as well as consistency. We have to develop that special quality again which will enable us to beat the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and indeed Chelsea. It's not beyond us.

Going out of Europe has been a huge disappointment. However the group we had wasnt as easy as people think, it certainly wasnt as easy as Arsenals group. Villareal are 3rd in Spain and tough oppostion. We deserved to win at OT and perhaps in Spain as well, but Rooneys sending off with 30 minutes to go was a factor. Scholes harsh sending off at home to Lille(look at what that Greek fecker who used to play for Arsenal Tavlaridis was doing) in a game we deserved to win. Okay Lille away(who remind me a bit of Greece) and Benfica away but the other 4 games weshould perhaps have had 4 wins. And Liverpool go on about them having a tough when they had a team who are bottom of the league in Spain, Anderlecht who are weaker than nay of the teams in our group and Chelsea werent taking things very seriously.
As for the league we should have won at home to Blackburn(we had loads of chances) and Everton, possibly Spurs and Man City as well. Overall with the exception of the Boro away game weve done well. Its certainly harder to win the league now. We could end the season with about 85-90 points and finish second which would have been enough to win the league the vast majority of the time.

we didn't score goals vs that group. villa are 4th. no way we should have finished bottom of the group. that group was easy enough for a club like UNITED to top it. and it may not have been as "easy" as arse's group but they made it look like it was. a huge disappointment indeed and a shyte performance by the team in those matchs.

Of course we should have qualified but the group was not as easy as people made it out to be, ie Villareal were tough opposition, a lot better side than Betis while Lille and Benfica are better sides than Anderlecht for instance. United did play well in the Villareal games and Benfica home while they also deserved to beta Lille at home while not playing well.

Your group was easy

We should easily have progressed from the group, even won it but it was a tougher group then yours to quallify from
