How good is Eddie Howe?

Grown into a good manager. Thought he was a dud after he left Bournemouth as he couldn't sort out his defensive issues but he took time away from management and used it wisely. Happy for him as he seems likeable from interviews.
 
I put him in the camp of goodish manager in that the less games he has to deal with, the better he looks. Us knocking them out of Europe by winning the FA Cup has helped them because they don’t have to deal with two games a week. Last season Newcastle struggled with juggling Champions League with domestics.

That’s surely because his squad is not deep enough rather than his management ability though. This Newcastle squad is still fairly average really and he has them playing fantastic football. Also bear in mind that his decision to move Joe Linton to CM is a big part of why they are so dominant in that area.

I agree, a pretty good manager who will never quite reach greatness. The best British coach working today by a distance though.
