Red Indian Chief Torn Rubber
Thus says Kemo
A club can't be coached stability with this level of injury upheaval.
Didn't know that.Apparently the first two months of 2020 he was on them for a hip problem, with Anka also claiming that he finished that season on painkilling injections for another unspecified injury. So not quite the whole of 19/20 as I initially said, but the business half.
Seen a couple of commentators opinion that:
The way Ten Hag sets us up is probably the cause of our soft tissue injuries. The players have to sprint back and forth more than most teams.
Please tell us more about how United seemingly set up training that's affecting the bodies so badly. I've take physiology in college, I understand the lingo so don't dumb it down for me.It’s that + seemingly constant high intensity training.
But hey United fans still think it’s just “bad luck”
I too would like to know how it’s the training and Ten Hags fault. It’s that + seemingly constant high intensity training.

Becuase it can carry over into next season too?Seasons over who cares anymore? City will rinse us
touch wood we never see another injury hit season like this one ever again.Becuase it can carry over into next season too?
This. If the issue is as widespread as this it's surely something to do with the training and tactics. The manager needs to be responsible of his squad (thats why he's called the MANAGER aka the person who manages) and part of that management skill is to manage player's workload and fatigue to prevent injuries. So far ETH has failed in this aspectHmm I don’t know maybe the constant reports of players being exhausted from training and asking to dial it back a bit + watching us play a basketball game every 90 minutes doing nothing but sprinting back in forth endless times+ coming off the back of a season where we essentially never rotated?
Eventually 1+1 = 2. You can’t just cry about rotten luck especially when the majority of injuries are the same issue (soft tissue) constantly reoccurring. It would be different if this was a bunch of players breaking legs/tearing ACL’s or some other contact injury.
Talking of EtH, I remember reading about how he made the team run 10k or something after the 4-0 loss to Brentford back in August 2022. It seemed to have been effective, and I liked his disciplinarian attitude at the time; it was welcome after Ole being way too willing to give the players leeway. (Obviously, the needs and wants of the players should be listened to, but under Solskjær it was just straight up “go out and do your thing” and he let players like Rashford, Lingard, and Pogba stink up the place.) Now, of course, ten Hag’s methods are way too fecking straining on the players and are asking them to do the equivalent of pulling themselves up by the bootstraps (to use the original meaning of that metaphor). Honestly, why oh why did he ditch his style of play that he had last season, which brought us moderate success,Biggest injury is sitting on the bench and 'coaching' the team.
Moderate success? I think the plan is to develop a style (and squad of suitable players) to step up from that. I don’t know if the methods are causing the injuries but I doubt it really (although could be a factor in some of the injuries I suppose). Truth is, to win, we have to raise and sustain intensity through games and you can’t do that without training for it.Talking of EtH, I remember reading about how he made the team run 10k or something after the 4-0 loss to Brentford back in August 2022. This has probably been our worse injury season. The issue is we don’t have a squad strong enough to cover the injury’s. Our depth is awful.
Other teams manage it though. City have a very strong starting 11 and strong bench. If we hadn’t spent so badly over the years we’d have a decent first 11 and then we could have just been focussing on improving the squad which gives us good competitions throughout the team. It’s not great, but we’d need about 8 centre halves to have the position covered. We need a squad of around 60 players to be safe at this rate. Unfortunately we can only register 25.

Maguire and Lindelof compared to Dias and Gvardiol though who was both on the bench for city yesterday as they had the luxury to do so. I don’t think any of the top teams would take either of them. We don’t need average players. We need very good players.I actually disagree. Most positions have good depth. Especially compared to Villa, Spurs and Newcastle.
The GK and ST positions have poor depth. We actually don't even know good/bad Bayindir is due to ten Hag's reluctance to use him.
The midfield has plenty of options. You could argue a lack of quality in some areas, but Casemiro, Eriksen, Mainoo, Amrabat and Mount were his signings/loans. Fred was moved on and Hannibal was allowed to go out on loan in January. McTominay and Bruno Fernades are the only midfielders he inherited that are still regularly used in 2024.
United's CB depth isn't bad. If Harry Maguire is your backup CB, you're not doing too badly. Even Evans has been a solid 5th choice defender.

4 points in weak CL group, 20 defeats across the season and negative goal difference.
'step back in results'
Nice straw man100%. If ten Hag wants to be bald then he needs to pull out miracles and play like prime Barca even when half his team isn’t available thru injury. It only 27 different CB pairings, get on with it!
Great day to pick for the embarrassing straw man routines.
Injuries are nothing to do with why we pissed away leads against Brentford, Chelsea, Liverpool and Coventry.
As a small example.
You dont have a point.
Having a incompetent fraud of a manager has impacted our results more than any excuse you care to list.
