Gaming Horizon Forbidden West (PS4/PS5)

I hate that this comes out at pretty much the same time as Elden Ring. After a completely barren Christmas 2021, too.

Am I right that if you buy the PS4 version it offers a free upgrade to the PS5 version & you get everything the PS5 version comes with?

My memory is awful anyway but is it wrong that I can barely remember anything of the story/characters? Might need a recap. The gameplay is where the first game shined for me.

Ginger girl gets bullied, gets buff, kicks ass. With robot dinosaurs.

And a bow and arrow.

Also finds out why the world went to shit and that the dinos were supposed to be good guys according to the plan.

I cannot wait for this! Looks amazing! I'm really excited by the end of the video too, strangers past the shore. Also, those lines near the end sound like something from Westworld.

Anyone who is "remember, no preorders" can feck off.

I just finished the first on PC. I loved it. Hope they bring this to PC as well

This and Elden Ring release 1 week apart. February looks good

I'd imagine that's almost a guarantee, I believe it sold pretty well.

Really looking forward to this! Looks class.

@b82REZ promised to swing me a free copy

Question is will i be able to hammer through this before Elden Ring or am i better off completing the latter first.

Maybe. Definitely expect it to get very high metacritic, probably break 90.

Elden Ring, Zelda BOTW 2, Starfield, God of War all supposedly this year. Could see all latter 3 falling into next year mind.

If it came out last year as intended it would have cleaned up I imagine.

Forgot about starfield completely. That will be delayed over and over I reckon. Be lucky if we see it 2023.

Ninty are pretty good at keeping their release dates aren’t they? Hopefully BOTW will be this year. God of war will definitely be 2023.

I kinda wish I hadn't watched all the trailers, I reckon they've revealed most, if not all the big new boss type machines. Reckon I'd have loved to just find them myself, but I can't resist trailers  now I will just be wondering when I am gonna bump into each of them.

The original is so good. It did suffer a little from some of the worst aspects of open-world games, but they generally did a good job with it. Also one of the best-looking games I've played. The new game looks incredible. Can't wait. Aside from Elden Ring, this is the game I'm most looking forward to.

In you’re dreams. Souls games are overrated. “Oh it’s so good because it’s a hard game”. Psh.
Both Souls games and God of War 2018 are genuinely brilliant. And neither are for solely adults/children. I don't think a game being more difficult or having a terrific narrative makes it lesser.

Trying to get through the first game and whilst the graphics are amazing the story/mechanics are pretty lacklustre so far (about 5 hours in)

I quite liked the first game despite having some problems with it. The world was simultaneously amazing and yet a bit lacking too (i don't recall the name of a single character or even their circumstances except Aloy, who was pretty cool). I don't remember any Witcher style moral dilemmas or meaningful choices, i just remember loving the primitive feel of the world, the gorgeous visuals and the combat. Hoping this game improves on the first and we get something that ticks all the boxes.

What games do that outside of Witcher though? Pretty standard open world stuff to be honest, but fun gameplay in a cool setting which is about as much as you can hope for with most open world games. Similar to the new Spiderman game.
