High-profile killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO in New York

To break it down, I think there are other ways that should be explored first for showing displeasure with someone. Can't leap to assassination every time. I feel bad for his kids, but as mentioned here, I also feel bad for everyone who had lifesaving medical treatments denied because of some AI algorithm designed and championed by soulless fecking ghouls like this guy.
Agree 100% with all of this

Pretty sure this is Jake Gyllenhaal.

After seeing some UHC denial letters on Reddit, I'm surprised there is anyone left to kill there. What a vile business.

America is mental

I just saw my monthly supply of 2 injections I take costs $3800 if you're uninsured in the US. Here they just get delivered in a refrigerated van for free every month. (well not free but you know)

I saw this picture next to the one of the masked guy, and they didn't look like the same person? Different jacket, backpack and so on. Even what little you could see of his face looked different.

Nah that’s Chance Crawford

If they ever catch him, the GoFundMe will break all records - if it doesn’t get shut down - and he’ll become an icon. Those Hellsing bullets already have him underscored.

Hope the guy has got insurance for all the bruised penis medicine he's going to need after scores of women just surround him and drop their skants like a Health Insurer dropping a cancer patient's coverage.

That’s quite the simile there.

Unfortunately, it's becoming a common story that many people in the US don't call an ambulance (and die at home) because they can't afford to pay for it.

Is it the first event of the year where absolutely no one is being politically correct?

What would be politically correct in this case?

To send our thoughts and prayers, to pretend that we actual care about this man or similar things. The overwhelming reactions that I have seen are cold and it looks like the vast majority of people are on the same side which is not that common online these days.

Yeah I posted that tweet earlier and agree doesn’t look like the mask guy at all. My guess is the police have no idea who the guy is.

Sorry, thoughts and prayers for what was deemed preexisting conditions are not covered, so that claim was denied automatically by our utterly fair and impartial AI-run system. Have a nice day.

The blood coming from inside of the CEO's body is all prove we needed that he already had that condition when signing for coverage.

Seems like somebody didn't get the memo that the poor arse supposed to kill each other and not those who are responsible for the injustice :)

On a more serious note, this is why I don't get why the ultra rich are lobbying tirelessly to become even richer. The wealth might grow but their own living standards will only worsen in a golden cage.

Just checked and UH profit had been growing massively, this year it slowed but the figure was still 90B. Unregulated free market is a bad idea in general but especially in areas of societal need, such as healthcare but also housing, utilities, etc.
You're confusing revenue with profit.

He killed one of the elite so what will they do to him when they find him? Killed in a hail of bullets or never see the light of day again?

The conspiracy theorist in me says cops will be under orders to shoot on sight to kill him. Those insurance companies won't want him to have his day in court to appeal further to the masses.

It's a fascinating, tragic story.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he had some terminal illness himself.

There's no way they'll let this go to trial, he'll be killed "resisting arrest" or have been found to have committed suicide.

Also to any law professionals on here, how realistic is jury nullification as an option?
